Both only 18 actually (although Donley turns 19 in January). Plenty of time for them to develop and earn opportunities.

I was watching on a dodgy stream and for the last 20 mins it kept going down. But I saw him play last week and thought he was excellent. I was surprised he didn't start. The same is true for Semenyo, who I thought was really good last time we played them and he didn't start today either. So maybe I'm just catching them on good days.

And, ironically, the one academy player we did have playing today was probably the player most moaned about in the thread.

He definitely appears to have bought into the manager's philosophy and system, but it's likely to take a period of regular playing time (not just a couple of games) to convince him to sign a new contract with us. I really hope he sticks around, because we'd struggle to recruit a backup for Maddison who isn't inferior. That he can also put in a solid shift as a deeper CM makes him a very useful squad player. I was also saying this back in the summer...

Phillips is actually closer to 18 than 19, but even if he wasn't, he's 18 not 19.Both are lot nearer to 19 though
Kane was "almost 30" ever since he turned 27, so I'm guessing he's "almost 35" now, because he's nearer to 35 than 20.

Thats probably more likely but I prefer the balacnce with my selection and I Like Gill's fight...he,'s growing on me.

He'd turn out a great footballer if he used his right foot a bit and put on some muscle I reckon. Has the attributes and attitude to do so.

All I'm seeing every week is a player not cut out in the slightest for the Premier league. Needs to leave whilst he's still young and can forge a decent career in a league more suited to him.

No, on the pitch, the only player with him was a Bournemouth player. Touch of class (not sure who it was).
