Ball just bouncing off Son, Johnson and Richarlison constantly. Need a hell Of a lot more from all of them. Problem is in these conditions, close control isn’t any of their forte.

Could really have done with Son burying either of his golden opportunities.

Will be a long second half. We look knackered. Losing our main legs in midfield to injury was the turning point.

People need to remember that Bournemouth are high pressing, hard working, intense team. They’re also bang in form. We are lacking energy and numbers and have a team cobbled together with string and tape.

It was always going to be a rough ride while we get the injured players back into the team.

Actually think son has one mind on the Asian cup. Last 2 games he just doesn't seem up for it. Trying not to get injured?

the bare minimum for this summer in terms of midfield overhaul is to replace Skipp and Hojbjerg with 2 players who are brave on the ball

The defence is concern obviously but at least the technical ability of the middle three should take the pressure off one would hope.
Shame Sarr got injured as first 15 it was working well.

They’re pressing us really well, we can’t get out and Richy can’t hold it up so the ball keeps coming back.

Need to figure it out a bit 2nd half and need the 2nd goal!

Interestingly very open game.

I think defensively we have done ok but we are definitely losing the midfield battle. Skipp is not an 8 and I guess Bentancur is playing 6 whilst he gets back up to speed. GLC played deeper as the half went on.
Richy has been excellent but both Son and Johnson have been anonymous.

Why do we keep playing from the back in these conditions?
We are the ones creating chances for Bournemouth. How is Ange not seeing this? It's been like this since everton.
Plenty of their chances have come from us playing direct. We lose the ball up top and Bournemouth then targets the gaps behind our fullbacks with a direct ball as we're pushing up. So far it seems equally dangerous to playing out IMO.

He’s a championship player let’s be honest. In same way Jamie OHara/Jake Livermore etc all were.
He's a squad player in the same way Wes Brown, Darren Fletcher, and Cleverly were for Fergie's United.

We need home grown and club trained options that are content to be that, and are happy to just play their part. They look worse when they are surrounded by other squad players but you hardly notice it when there is genuine quality around them.

Both so far off it technically, both also way too slow on the half turn as you say.

Hope we sign Gallagher in Jan, can’t stand watching Skipp give the ball away 24/7.

Conteball in disguise.
Lack of good first touches in that team leads to this. Son is the best out of the three up top and is a fine finisher, so you can excuse his touch. The other two just offer nothing at all. Johnson is no better than the flurry of British wingers that came after Lennon and bale. No better than Redmond, Dan James etc except he cost a lot!

How do we look so knackered? So far second best today - delighted to be winning at half time. A terrible combination of suddenly being unable to pass the ball and not having a single player who has the strength to hold the ball with his back to goal. If nothing changes they will take one of their many chances eventually. Come on Spurs

I wonder

Yep front three just not good enough from them, Son mentally just not there.
