I hope that we are sharp and focused in our own box for this game... Brentford are normally dangerous in the opponents box and from corners, thrown-ins etc... 🫤 ... especially with Toney back.

"Spurs have conceded 143 corners this season - only Sheffield United have conceded more - while the 208 shots conceded from inside the box is a worrying sign as only Burnley, West Ham, Sheffield United and Luton have shipped more."

I know that it's part of our style and we have Romero, Van de Ven back now. But I would like the corner-numbers and shots from inside our box to be a bit lower. We have to work on that part.

This will not be easy tomorrow night, our attack looks no where near as good without Sonny and Brentford have had a long rest as they had no Fa cup. Expect us to come out fast early doors but if we don’t get a few goals early then it becomes nervy when our energy fades.

Not sure a long rest is good for any team. Better off to keep playing. Arsenal were shite tonight . Hardly played this month.

Maddison and Skipp in, Johnson and Hojbjerg out.

We played on Friday night, should be enough time between the matches. Before the Cup-Tie we had 12 days off. We also scored two goals at Old Trafford without Sonny. So, keep calm!

Going back into the top four at the end of this month of all months with the absolute decimation of our squad will be an enormous achievement and sets us up for the run in to come.
COYS!

Haven't we only conceded from 1 corner in the league?

The stats say two but not necessarily traditional corner goals.

The Estupinian wonder goal came from a corner as well as Gomes good strike when we played Everton.

Maybe... and that's a good thing of course... that's why we need to be strong. Because we allow a lot to happen in our box. I guess it will get better with time. Like at Liverpool back when they built a defence around Alisson and Van Dijk.

But against Brentford we have to be on our toes. They love "in box"-opportunities. Just my point regarding the game tonight 😊

This is a good test without Son tonight.

A real opportunity to develop some chemistry between midfield and attack.

I think we'll do just that.

3-1 Spurs. Richarlison double.

Do some forget that we were good v United going forward without Son?

Brentford will be very different to City. We should be on the ball much more, and hopefully with Maddison starting we'll be able to create.

Im not convinced Maddison starts tonight, I can't remember seeing him touch the ball against City, think he'll be eased back in.

I think he probably will start but will be subbed around 60 mins. I'm hoping Bentancur's fitness continues to improve and he gets a bit more involved in our play.

He’ll start. Ange will ask him if he’s ready and if he replies yes, then he starts. That’s the Ange way and the type of man that Maddison is. Adults working with adults, refreshing.

Trek to Everton for a 12.30 lunchtime rendezvous doesn’t help.
