Other than Richarlison we’ve no aerial presence in open play. I would be tempted to sacrifice Kulusevski and bring on Scarlett to play alongside Richarlison.

Alternatively move Werner to the right and Kulu to the left or replace him with Johnson/Gil?

I know Gil blows away in the wind but he’s got quick feet… we need someone to mix it up as both Richarlison and Kulu are very rigid and Werner doesn’t have a left foot

Not the worst 45 mins but a bit too slow and ponderous at times. Werner has everything apart from a final ball, Deki is anonymous, bentancur and maddison are way off it. Udogie has been pretty wasteful as well imo.

Richy I think has played well and I think Skipp has probably been the brighter performer in the middle.

Ange needs to change things up at half time.

Can’t create anything , richarlison incapable of holding the ball up and we look so wide open to the counter . Constantly trying to open them up in the middle where it’s too congested and when we get wide nobody on the box . Big worry

Think we need to score 3 to win as Brentford will score again but honestly think the game has gone as we have no clue how to break them down Frank has pulled anges is pants down

I do think it is worth noting that Ange has always had a 'teething' stage.

We should have had it earlier but so many players were out injured so they werent out on the field to adjust to difficulties.

We are getting that period now

A red card does feel inevitable, either Maupay will walk or any one of our boys for kicking the shit out of him

Jesus wept. That was pretty dire. A lot have said it here, teams have sussed us. And I know this is neither here nor there, but I've seen most games this season in the stadium and the box, and Ange just stands there hands in pocket. He surely can see where we are failing. Say something, light a fire under them, throw your arms in the air or something. Fuck me. Ah well, at least I got into the 1882 Bar.

He doesn't want the ball which is a problem
Well he's been told to make underlapping runs. But he's just running to get picked up by Mee. It's not actually shifting anyone. Udogie is going the same on the other side

How have we got people watching that, and saying Skipp is the worst player on the field?!
He’s been better than Bentancur (who I love), and better than numerous others out there.
If you’re targeting Skipp after that half it’s because you just don’t like him and aren’t interested in actually watching how he plays, you’ve just decided it’s his fault before the game has even started.

We’ve been awful across the board, Udogie not at it at all and we’ve played in to Brentford’s hands. I actually think the league should find teams who allow Maupay to score.

It isn’t the refs fault we’re losing, that’s all on us. However this ref IS srperstrkyvdemonstrsting just how poor the officiating is in this league. He’s not only allowed Brentford’s time wasting, at times he’s actively supported it, appalling, weak referee and well out of his depth.

Never minded Brentford previously, but watching No mark Maupay, Betfred, and their time wasting tonight, I’m fully supportive of Brentford going down next year.

Wake up second half spurs ffs.

I was originally thinking it might be worth having 3 at the back to deal with their 2 pressing strikers because we were really struggling to play through them (which obviously led to the goal) but now it looks like Brentford have just decided to sit back way back

Trying to think if the centre backs could have done better but it's just one of those breaks

Romero assessed the situation and went to what he thought was the danger which was toney but hindsight suggests he should have trusted VDV/Vic and romero stayed on that **** maupay

This says a lot and is one of the reasons why we are struggling so much, as well as the tactics being an issue also.
Oh I don't disagree that if he is the best then we have an issue, I just think that if we were to change anything it wouldn't be him based on tonight's performance.
