There's more it than that, their season XG is pretty poor and they are low in chance creation, they don't create many chances for their forwards...there's a reason why they have the best defence in the league because they have been defence 1st.
But how confident are you in our centre backs (any pairing) giving up chances? And how confident are you about giving the up to PEA? Willian always scores against us too.

I don't get the "daylight robbery" comments. They had 2 fucking shots on target.
THIS. Hugo barely had anything to do. Kane missed from an inch. Sanchez somehow had superhuman reflexes from Veltman's almost own goal. Wasn't pretty, but definitely not undeserved.

Fair enough, if you felt we played well then good for you. I thought we were second to most things and didn't really impress. Yes, we have better players than a lot of teams so "should" win but eventually your luck runs out. I'd like to see us play better but am happy with the result and the fact we are second.

Overall, fair fucks to Jose for having us second whilst also playing a LOT of football.
You say luck runs out but we also deserved to win against West Ham and Newcastle at home so I’d say it evens out.

but as you say quality from Jose to get us to 2nd with having played so many games

The midfield is our priority concern for me now.

We aren't controlling the middle of the park at any point. You can only get away with that for so long.

I've changed my mind on Skriniar for now. Get another CM who doesnt shy away from having the ball and can drive the team. We could sign another 2 or 3 CBs but we'd still have issues off the ball and when being pressed.

We have two of those midfielders but Mourinho refuses to play both together. And we do still need another top CB, unless Rodon steps up. And we need cover for Hojberg because I nearly jumped off a bridge when he went down and I saw Winks warming up.

Prem refs give me aids. They’re so so bad it’s untrue. Am sure mr magoo going round a fucking washing machine could see more clearly. Pure incompetence of the absolute highest standard.

massive 3pts to keep in touch. Forget it and move on. Hope Jose accepts a fine and calls the ref out for what he is.

That isn't really a match that I'm concerned about just yet, lots more football to be played before then :)

That must be in the conversation for the worst refereeing decision of all time. On the basis that he even got the chance to make up or his mistake.

I was actually surprised at the xg as I thought they played really well/we were pretty turgid but they were at 0.3 and we were at 1.2 plus the penalty

Wolves must be laughing their tits off getting us to pay for Doherty while they got Semedo in.
Is only 15 mil thereabouts and we are not even ¼ of the season. If you would like to bash a player, at least chose one who had been doing the same shit thing for the past 3 seasons at the minimum.

He wasn't the only one culpable of lapses today when Son and Sissoko were far worse. In fact Doherty improved later in the game when Bale came on, closing down the spaces better. Some of you may just have forgotten how Aurier could give away any stupid fouls or penalties or whatsoever under intense pressure. Doherty offers us a different RB/RWB which Aurier couldn't and that can only be a good thing.

I dont expect us to play fantastic football every game. And we didnt today. But we won. Won on a slightly off day.
Its three points. Bale scored. We are second in the league.
Be happy guys.
It was a good psychological win also, closing down the last part of the game without surrendering the narrow advantage. And I don't just mean for the team, the fans as well!

It's not a 2-0 win as if the free kick was given the whole games changes and Bale doesn't score his header. Or do you not understand how life works?

You are correct, we would have gone on and won 3-0 due to having that extra confidence! :cautious:
