Good win with some great goals - Son’s a goal of the season contender - and a clean sheet. Disappointed with the substations. Felt we could have made them much earlier and rested some players while giving others some decent playing time. Also disappointed than when Sessegnon came on for a rare appearance the experienced regulars didn’t help integrate ibto the team by passing to him. He came on with 15 minutes to go and didn’t get a touch until the 89th minute. Yes you could say he should have looked for the ball more but he’d probably been told to keep our shape. A little help from the others to bring her m into a he game might have been useful. No Lo Celso again ( or Foyth)! Has JM got something against Argentines

An absolute cracker of a match, not a lot lacking as far as I can see. Very, very good team effort with great players in each part of the team. Very satisfying.

Really chuffed with that result after how we performed Wednesday.

Time to enjoy a fine home result.

Roll on next week!

A great win and a clean sheet. A few great goals by Kane and Son. Looks like Jose's magic is starting to show. Defence needs more attention, however, we managed to get a clean sheet. COYS!!!!

Except he got the ball from JV within a minute of coming on.

Just the performance we needed with our next two league games against teams currently a place below and above us.

Hopefully a great confidence booster with a few rested midweek.

Defending was a bit better today. Second half we were good which is encouraging.

It's great to see Sissoko keeping his head in the final third lately and he gets some goals for it. He started to concentrate a lot more with his passing but always seemed to lose all composure in front of goal. He looks like he can score a few goals a season now which didn't seem at all possible. Unlucky with the one off the post in the first half but took his goal well in the second.

I still think we could do with another defensive midfielder. Dier did well today but he's the only one who really gives us shape in midfield. Sissoko, Ndombele and Winks are all better as box to box midfielders playing a little ahead of a defensive midfielder (I'd say the same for Skipp too). For all the talk of replacing Dembele we have good options for his old position but it's the Dier role we could do with adding too. I'm sure Jose would love the old Wanyama.

Great win today and the clean sheet will give the defence confidence. It was also great to see Sess, Skipp and Parrott get a run out. I'm sure they are 3 of the youngsters set to start on Weds along with Tanganga. If we can play Lo Celso from the start too I'm sure he'll show his quality.

Suicidal from Burnley, lets be honest. Especially when they'll have seen our previous games under Mourinho and what to expect and how as United showed you can shut it down. When they, or any team against us with the current selections/tactics/intent we're going with, are so open, and exposed to the counter, and just generally have far too much space in front of the defence and constantly allowed players to receive the ball in front of the backline and run at them, then happy days. We'll score goals, and when you add some ruthless and/or quality finishing like today, could give teams a pumping.

Just wish we would have pushed for another instead of mailing it in for the last 10 minutes
Really? We keep conceding goals late on but today we made sure to kill the game off for a change. People were worried about going 2-0 and defending it under Jose but to complain about defending a 5-0 is a bit much

You know when won when the match thread is under 50 pages when the game is finished.

For context, Burnley were only two points behind us this morning. They might have been shitter than a shit pipe jammed with shit today, but that’s because we blew them away

tourist doesn’t mean foreign
It usually does. Most British people support a team already, and very rarely go to other teams games. And Spurs fans from other areas of the UK are not tourists when comming to support Tottenham, they are fans.
