It's such a shame we couldn't have snatched that equaliser and taken a draw.

We would have been unstoppable
The other important factor is that Ange doesn't really need to go back and address too much about the game.

Maybe better application playing through a press, but that is his MO anyway so will get better naturally.

Just Romero and others needing to calm down.

If he had have decided to shut up shop, he then has to reinstill behaviours and patterns of play in players.

If anyone can remember, a few years back United started the season really strongly and were scoring a lot. Mourinho decided to go ultra-defensive against Liverpool and secured a boring 0-0 draw.

But he killed the mentality in the team as they lost to Huddersfield the following week and were realy ineffective in attack.

We will now approach the Wolves game in the same manner
It was big team mentality today. Dare I say the sort of thing we saw with Liverpool when they went down to 10.

I think the players will take huge confidence from that match going forward.

Chelsea were shitting bricks against our 9 men.

They're bigging up Jackson for scoring 3 of the simplest goals you'll ever see. Fuck me. Look at his misses, he nearly missed the 3rd as well tripping over himself..

Worst night since CL final. Not so much for the defeat, but the loss of VDV, Romero, udogie and possibly maddison.

Not doing my mental health good tonight.

As silly as this sounds, todays game showed me more about this team and where we’re going than any of the wins so far. There is not a question in my mind that in any of the last few years, had we even gone down to 10 never mind 9, that we would have completely capitulated within 5 minutes.

The belief and the togetherness of the players was class to see. To be down to 9 men and still have 3 clear chances to get to 2-2, all from 80 mins on when we’ve worked so hard, tells me all I need to know about our future under Ange.

Obviously the reds and injuries will hurt us, but after that display with 10 then 9, and the way Dier, Hojbjerg, Royal, Bentancur and Skipp stepped up and performed the way they did, I’m more confident than I’d thought I’d be about the next few games.

We’re 11 games into the new Ange era and the difference in this short time is staggering quite frankly.

Compare that tonight with Conte vs AC. I’m so impressed with the fight and bravery from this side.

26 points from 11 games and 2nd in the league - we’re well ahead of schedule. Just got to hope some players learn from tonight and also that Ashley Phillips is up to the challenge of seeing some EPL minutes. I reckon it will be him starting alongside Dier in the next few games.

Mixed emotions on this one

First off we lost our heads and should have been winning this game after such a great start. It was self inflicted.

On the plus side though to show the grit and determination we did with 9 men. To play forward and not move away from attacking front foot football shows our identity is clear. To dare is to do is not just a slogan anymore.

Special mention to Dier and Hojbjerg since being left out give everything. The spirit of the team tonight shows we are all as one and fight to the end under Ange. They all left it out on the field tonight. Probably the most pride you can feel after a defeat.

Absolutely terrified about the injury to VdV with Romeo out for 3 games now. The loss in isolation especially the way we've gone down fighting is fine. The injuries and suspensions put us in jeopardy now. The loss of Udogie as well on Saturday leaves us down to 1 of our first back 4. Then it's praying for VdV to not be too serious.

At least we know who we are now. We will go for it always and we just have enjoy the roller coaster ride.

I am devastated. We have had 3 points in our pocket. Now Romer is banned for 3 games, VDV is injured for 2 months. We don't have the defenders to play the high line. Udogie misses the next game. With our bench, it is a complete disaster
Luckily missed the game but please tell me you’re joking about VDV being out for two months?!? If we can get any kind of results in the next few games with Romero, VDV and Udogie out then we truly do have the greatest coach ever. They have been vital to the way we’ve been playing lately.

Feels like it has to be doesn’t it, unless he tries something with Emerson at cb (not suggesting it, just struggling to give options).

I’m assuming Phillips and Dier, perhaps with Dorrington on the bench.

Just on my way home from the game. My immediate thoughts are two things. The remaining players on the field pretty much gave everything. The Dier offside goal and the Son chance at the end could have salvaged something. If this was last season, the stadium would have been half empty with 10 or so mins to go. But most hung around and were in great voice all things considered. The officiating was nothing short of chronic. I was on the side of the dugout and the linesman was so far behind the play and Sterling was offside more times without getting flagged.
The upside is, the fans have bought into Ange's style of football and we will be ok. No doubt.
And one final comment, Poch can go do one.

Suspect it will be Emerson in a makeshift back 4 but imagine he will get some minutes

VDV has been critical to our high line so pretty clear teams will now target it as a weakness
