That's great news, need all the attacking options options we can get. Johnson is key as it allows Kulusevski to play as the 10. Gio is good but think more as an 8 off the bench. Although I'd be tempted to try him as a 6 but this might not be the best game for it.

Got to get through this game with no injuries/suspensions. When's the amnesty coming?

This one has West Ham vibes all over it. We should be well able to win. But everton are in good form, resolute at the back, and dangerous from set plays. Would be great to have a high tempo game and get chances flowing early.

I'd quite like to see skipp in the 6 instead of Hojbjerg, but part of me thinks we need his height in the team.

The thing about the West Ham game though is that we could and should have been more than just the one goal up at HT and that would have made a massive difference IMO. I think that's one of the things that made the Newcastle game turn out as it did, the fact that we capitalised on our dominance and managed to get the second goal. The Newcastle game was almost similar too in that they came out playing well in the second half but we had the luxury of a cushion and knowhow that one more goal would truly kill the game. It can be small margins that can turn the tide of a game.

I have no doubt that tomorrow we'll play well enough to create multiple chances to score, we just have to hope we take them.

Spot on. But it's also incumbent on us to keep the tempo high. Rolling the ball around needlessly for an extra pass or touch will play into their hands. Villa just did that vs Sheffield. Its not the low block that causes you to play walking-pace footy. You do that to yourselves.

So we should be willing to play the counter counter if needed by playing fast and risky to keep everyone on the back foot.

Yeah definitely agree there mate. Hopefully we learnt a lot from the West Ham game and won't see as much of a repeat performance again. We more or less know we'll start well, but like you say we just have to also hope that we maintain a good tempo to our play throughout. That will become much easier when the injured players return and we have more quality to call on mind!

So it's essentially 1 place up for grabs

Will it be PEH, Skipp or GLC to get it

My preference is to have GLC in the number 6 as we should have the ball for the majority of it

Nailed on home defeat. Dr Tottenham written all over this.
How so? Everton has no need for the doctor as they’re smashing it at the moment..? If they had come in to this match with consecutive losses, I’d agree with you mate.

Let’s hope the good doctor stays away for this afternoon!

On my way to the game on the train, doing the round trip from Devon.

Relatively relaxed about today as we’ve had a week to prepare and Ange knows what to expect from Everton: going to be tough but we will have fresher legs than the toffees.

Was at the Everton home fixture last year and even though we won by heck was it boring.

That’s what this league is all about, just look at yesterday with bottom vs 2nd: cannot take anything for granted, got to continue converting those chances: vs West Ham to vs Newcastle was such a contrast and frustrating as when this team gets clicking we can put away teams, however, we’ve got out of that sticky (toffee) apologies poor pun, patch. COYS!

What are the best pubs to watch football at near the stadium? Know they show other games but hate how there's no volume and there's some good games before/after

Really should run this lot ragged today. Start Gio and blitz them in the first 30 mins. They'll be dead on their legs. Not at all worried about this lot.
