Gedson doesn't look half bad in this Aurier style RW/RB role. He hasn't been tested defensively at all and against super weak opposition, but I wonder if this is who he might use out there for cup games

Yea he’s an absolute solid 6/10 in that role. Certainly fine for cup games and against lower half prem sides where we should in theory not be caused a lot of problems but against top sides he won’t cut it.

Tbf I would rather have a player who is always frustrated than a player who isn't. Feel like it speaks to the standard a player holds themselves and the team to

100% one who is always critical of themselves is one who expects perfection and demands high standards, not always a bad thing.

Hojbjerg has the playing style as Vertonghen, he's very upright and his tackling is scarily similar to him.

that number 5 shirt also adds to the impact. So strange to not see verts in that number.

Yea with a manager who didn’t speak English and when we’d just sold our best strikers. Bentley had a stormer against Roma from what I remember and Darren bent mabye?

I'm not sure why fernandes isn't being played as a centre mid as that is where he has played most of his career but he has a good cross on him. Maybe mourinho sees him as a winger more than a centre mid
