I think what Liverpool/Klopp believe to be "unprecedented" about this case is that it wasn't an incorrect decision made by VAR, but a breakdown in protocol that prevented the correct decision from being communicated to the on-field referee.

The thing is, if we were to request the audio files from PGMOL for every VAR involvement over the past few seasons, I'm reasonably certain that we'd find multiple similar examples where protocol has been breached leading to an incorrect decision on-field. Every club should have their lawyers primed to submit the request to PGMOL immediately if the PL show even a hint of entertaining the idea of a replay.
But the impact of that breakdown in protocol is a good goal disallowed - hardly unprecedenTed. In fact barely a week goes by where that doesn’t happen

Klopp is such an asshole. I really used to like his passion and energy, but now he just bullies officials on the touchline, berates any decision which goes against them and whenever they lose a game it is always someone else's fault. Pep has unbearable moments, but at least he for the most part he is respectful.

Bullying officials is half the point and quite clever actually

it will be a brave VAR ref who rules out a Liverpool goal on a marginal offside from now on

So Klapp requests a replay because Var or the fellas running it got it wrong, why should we as a club be punished by playing an additional game for something we had no part in. It's just barmy the lengths this eejit will go to. Really has not thought this through at all.
What if one of our players was seriously injured in the replay. The whole idea is ridiculous.

He's chucking as much fuel on the fire of their 'victim status' as he can, hoping that it leads to them being given any contentious decision for the foreseeable. The FA should recognize this for what it is and add some fuel of their own by banning the prick and threatening to deduct point if he doesn't button it and behave himself in future.
That won’t happen but completely agree

Shall we ask Liverpool to give their most recent league title back and replay the season because of Covid and it not being fair / unprecedented?

Klopp.

People's true colours come out when they dont get things their way.

Some of his behaviour has been absolutely shameful.

The Mason response was the tip for me.

Would he have been as spiteful if you had a coach in a wheelchair who made comments about leg breaking challenges?

I wouldnt put it past him.

This is not boxing where you can add fuel to sell fights.

You have to have some dignity and draw a line.

I would argue that Liverpool have now crossed a line and truly brought the game into disrepute.

This really has the feel of a professional version of "its my ball and I am taking it home if you don't award me the goal"

I like how you split this across 10 evenly spaces lines to represent VAR lines ;)

Fuuuuucking hell... are Sky Sports seriously ringing Tottenham up asking for a response to Klopp's comments about a replay? Never mind declining to comment, they probably pissed themselves laughing...
