After watching Kane this first half, my girlfriend said is there anything Kane can't do? I showed her the clip of Kane in goal.

Really pleased with that first half. Unlucky not to be 3-0 so far. Controlling the midfield with Winks and Hojbjerg, with both playing more forward passes than previous matches. Just got to keep going in the 2nd half now.

I have no idea how it‘s only 1-0. At times we’ve been wonderful here, and could deservedly be four or five up based on the chances, woodwork etc.

what I love about it right now is Harry is looking like the player he was 3 years ago, some wonderful skills, incredibly well timed passes, etc showing again there’s so much to his overall game, not just the eye for goal. Long may it continue.

Lo Celso links the play so, so much better than Alli in that no.10 role. He might not be as lethal in the box, but since we can actually maintain possession it massively benefits Kane and Son. It also leaving us far less susceptible to counter attacks as we don't needlessly give the ball away half as much.

I have been critical of Wink's performances this season but fair play to him he has been very good so far today COYS!

This is the type of game he does better in.
No real defensive duty, and pick the ball up from the back line with plenty of time to turn and see if a forward pass is on. Keeping the ball moving, but would be nice to see (everyone) the pace pick up at times.

Easy stuff, if it wasn't for darlow and the woodwork we would be our of sight by now.

Clearly the majority of the players have been great, but for me special mentions to winks (why aren't Newcastle pressing him??), davinson, who has been really assured at the back.

Also watch lo celso and peh stopping the counter with their tactical fouls.

We haven't been this good for a year. Should be about 5 nil.

Would love to see Tanguy and reguillon in the second.

You just know that Mourinho is saying to Hojbjerg ‘Shelvey, on a yellow??!! You know what to do, he’s a ticking time bomb’

Pity we didn't bury some of those chances, the longer this stays at 1-0 no chance of taking off Harry or Sonny to give then a break before the midweek games.

We've had many of these kind of performances against Newcastle before where we play really well for 45 but then they turn it around. Hopefully today's not one of those games

So much better overall, am so glad we have a system that looks worth persevering with. Miles better from how we have been a lot of the time previously where it seemed we could make any team in the English league look good, so the fact that it's a poor Newcastle doesn't take anything away from it for me. Certainly positive, just pray we can put this to bed now.
