Haven't watched any football since lockdown, and don't plan to again. Saw my dad on Saturday who told me about the Spurs vs Man Utd game and that he stopped watching in a strop once Spurs went 0-1 down and I could totally have seen myself doing the same thing in his shoes, so fairly happy with how my decision to bin off football is going so far.
I am genuinely happy that it’s working for you.

And genuinely sad at the same time, not a pitiful sadness though, but sad that you no longer love something that you once did, or that maybe you never loved it but only thought you did. As I said, not a pitiful sadness, as you seem far happier, more a regret on your behalf.

Meant purely in an amicable spirit I hope you understand.

The last time I felt like this was after Martin Jol. Not that I have any dislike to Jose as I did someone like Sherwood. But more a case of it feels like an Era with a real feel good factor had come to an end.

I certainly see that but the key difference for me is that we rolled the dice far more when we got rid of Jol for Ramos, and yes every change is a gamble but we were plummeting at the end under Pochettino and we’ve gone for someone with more premier league titles to his name than any other manager bar Ferguson

I know we have bad memories of the diamond but I really like this formation still because when it works boy does it work.
I'd actually be very interested to see Bergwijn in the #10 role in that lineup. I think his creativity and passing is very underrated. He had 13 assists for PSV this season before joining us.

I wasn’t as confident of getting all 3 points tonight and thought it would be a draw.

However, after reading Antonio’s comments in the press, I expect Mourinho won’t have to do much of a team talk. I’m going 4-1 to us.

Anything other than a comfortable win would be disappointing to be honest.

For you maybe, for SC anything other than...

A win
More than 2 goals scored
A clean sheet
Minumum 60% possession
Fast passing and high press
Ndombele man of the match
Kane hattrick
Sess on the wing and also left back
Parrott inexplicably coming off the bench for longer than 25 minutes.
Jose resigns mid match
Levy livestreams himself writing big cheques on the big screens all game

...will result in disappointment

A fear for this game is that Wet Spam will feel very much at home in an empty stadium with no visible crowd. It'll be like a normal gig at the London Stadium for them. My other fear is that Ndombele is selected, either from the start, or as a sub and that when he comes on we realise that he can run less fast and for less time than before the lock down. I'm always hoping he'll actually play well though.

I get entirely what you’re saying.

@homerhotspur is that ‘doh’ as in you don’t agree or ‘doh’ as in you are Homer Simpson?

Well yeah that's what I define as a comfortable win...

Im sure that’s what Arsenal fans said before Brighton game... I certainly want it to go that way, but I would take any kind of win right now.

It's d'oh as in I didn't know i'd done it! Removed. Funnily enough, I had noticed it and thought someone had thought you were cursing us by your prediction!!

I'm lucky enough to have a 24 hour pass to Nowtv to watch the match tonight, tried to log in and it's fecking useless, I've given up and I no longer care about watching it. In fact it's put me in such a foul bloody mood I don't even care about the game anymore.
I had the same experience with my NowTV pass last week and I was in a similar mood.

Fortunately, it was on Thursday, so my access to the Spurs match wasn't under immediate threat. Ultimately, I found the answer online, which bizarrely involved setting up the Now TV app on my phone, logging in, and then finding I could then log in on my TV. It seemed a very strange work-around but it worked.

Good luck!
