One name notable by its absence is Jeremie Mukendi. I guess he really does have candid pictures of the chairman.

By my reckoning he doesn't even count as U21 next season either. There's obviously something going on there that we don't know about.

I'm not really surprised about J'Neil Bennett being released. He really hasn't progressed all that much. Oluwayemi isn't getting any younger and is a long way short of being in contention for a first team spot. Omole is a bit disappointing but apparently he was offered a new deal and turned it down, which is fair enough. He may well have a decent offer from somewhere else where he can get first team football. Lo-Tutala is the big shock but like Omole I reckon he's been offered an opportunity that he couldn't refuse. We've definitely slimmed down the U23s significantly. It can only mean that we're taking a different approach going forward.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a few Italian youth players come in. Paratici follows academy football a lot he must have his eye on a few. And I’d guess his knowledge is still pretty fresh from leaving Italy.

I think it makes no sense for the club to sell Etete this summer. He's off the back of a successful pair of loans and his stock is slowly rising as is his ability. Another successful loan could see him put himself in the mix for a lower premier League/ upper championship side and earn us some good transfer fees.
Parrott on the other hand is doing everything he should be doing. His performances are far better than the stats give him credit for, he's playing off the right and lest we forget he's playing international football too. I wouldn't be surprised to see him really hit some good numbers this season if he goes on loan.

Re Etete, I'm sure that's what we would like but his agent has other ideas and it's unlikely he'll sign a new contract with 1 year left.

Not including the obvious on loan like Parrott Etete etc and likes of Devine and Scarlett. I make it 15 outfield players left for U23 squad, if you take it 3 or 4 will go on loan we must be bringing a few in. I’m actually surprised Paskotsi stayed he had a weird season. Was Piesold only 1st year that left ?

Few others that haven’t made much progress in regards to senior squad BLF Bowden lavinier Robson Walcott. I guess most of those will go on loan.

Paskotsi has a contract until 2023. He suffered with some medical complications after Covid but club value him highly.

Yes Piesold only 1st year. Last year Eddie Carrington was the only 1st year too.

This would make sense. Our U23’s have stagnated of late, could definitely do with freshening up. We need to bring that link back to the first team where there are natural backups to all areas. 4 youth keepers released, maybe two added by the looks of it.

Josh Keeley, Irish U19 keeper. Plays for St. Pat's and is pretty highly rated.
Where did you read he is highly rated (not saying he isn't just curious)? Looks like he is 3rd choice GK for St Pats and 2nd Choice for Ireland U19s.

Our 17 year old U18 GK (Aaron Maguire) has just as many U19 Ireland caps as 19 year old Josh Keeley.

I follow (not closely) st. Pat's, and he's well regarded by the coaching staff and fans there. He's 3rd choice because they have a few goalkeepers on loan. A West Ham lad and another more senior from the championship another loi club. He was expected to move, but didn't, and so has been 3rd choice.

Also worth considering that like Scotland with LBs, Ireland currently has a surfeit of quality young goalkeepers coming through. Along with bazunu from city and kelleher from Liverpool, there's also a young lad who's done quite well for Bournemouth. He has a senior cap, but, not likely to break through any time soon. He's definitely one for the youth team.
