Didn't realise that Yusuf Demir was playing for Austria, he made his senior team debut last year and he's playing for the U19s now. Should played Bellingham then.

Looked like the CB tried to block Scarlett off, Scarlett tried to get around him and caught the lad on the back of the head. Nothing malicious and I can understand why both feel like they should have a free kick.

Chukweimeka looks a real player. Has made both goals, starting and finishing the first.

No doubt that Alfie has a touch of class about him.
Also a bit if a leader. Twice when closing down he was shouting at Chuckwuemeka to get in beh8nd him. Chuck not too interested but he can certainly play as well.

Might be because our midfield is just two players. Those two lads have covered a lot of ground tonight.

He’s quite a bit bigger than those guys were at this age, he’s 6 foot already and has more growing to do, not sure he’ll be much like them when he’s fully developed. No doubt he’s got that technical quality though, but being 6 foot already he’s not likely going to have the same burst of speed or agility. Be interesting to see what he turns into, my guess is a playmaking CM rather than a 10 but I have little doubt he’s going to be class
Or a Centre Forward?
Just watching that clip the first thing I thought was that he moves and strikes the ball the same way as Kane

I realise this isn't completely pertinent to the thread, but it is a carry on from what I said earlier. Does the FA have a blue print of 523/352 being played throughout the ranks or is it coincidence that both the senior team and the U19's play a system that leaves the striker isolated.

I know I'm watching youth football, however the comparisons are there to be made. The u19's at least seem braver on the ball but I can't help but notice how little of the ball Scarlett saw unless we were breaking on Austria. It's exactly the same as Kane for the senior side, where he has to drop all over the pitch just to see the ball.

I still don’t see Scarlett, he must be an elite trainer ??‍♂️ He does ok but I’ve yet to see anything that makes me go wow like I did with Devine tonight.

But in Parrott Gil Sarr Devine we have 4 really exciting youth talents.

I think he’ll end up as a pure CM with an eye for a pass and goal. He’s playing a year above and holds his own physically and is very tenacious too. Just a prediction but I can only see him becoming an attack minded central midfielder. There was a moment in this match where he showed his tenacity in chasing the ball down for 30 yards pressuring several players which lead to England regaining possession, he’s definitely good going forward but I still think he’ll end up as a central midfielder long term
