Solberg with senior group. What a strange case he has been. Absolute monster of a kid so can’t say he wasn’t physically ready. I remember speaking to someone from Norway when he joined who’d coached him and they were convinced he was going straight to the top.

Oh he’s still only 18. Feels like he’s been around for ages thought he was like 20 ?
What position solberg play

Oxford have included Ben Watt on their not to be retained list. He was with us up to U16 level. I'm a tiny bit surprised as I thought he was one with decent potential. He'd been called up England while with us. At the time I thought Oxford had done well to get him.

That's crazy. There have been some strange cases of players getting called up for England and then not even making our academy. Can think of Blake D'Arcy for one but when I saw Watt play he genuinely looked like a good player, like you could see why he was called up. Strange but shows rhe ups and downs of football I guess

A pretty good article if you have a subscription. I wouldn’t write him off yet. Conte should have a look at him in preseason

Seems he’s grown up quite a bit in the last year, which sometimes can be the difference.
Can someone who has access please post the content, thanks.

If you really want to read it then as soon as it opens right click and select print. That will open the article in your printer preview. I wouldn't bother though, there's no news or new information. It literally just says that he was initially a dead cert, then went off the boil and has now grown up.

Youth International Tournament is backkkkkkk. IIRC, it's U19 tournament

Hopefully there'll be a stream. Bare in mind we'll more than likely get a pasting as we'll take the youngest squad possible while everyone else takes their literal U19s.

Parrott Etete Scarlett Williams* Donley who’s your money on ?

* I think some will see Williams as more a modern day wide front 3 player. But I think he has the attributes to be a 9. Saying that I think Parrott is looking more like a 10.

FT 2-1 win.

Donley x2 (Amo-Ameyaw)

The lads withstood alot of pressure in the game as Reading had 22 shots, compared to our 12, so it was good the boys saw this one out.

Jamie now has 10 goals in 12 league appearances, levelling with Williams' 10 goals.

I think within the club Scarlett is still the golden boy but Donley is close behind. They're very different players, mind. Donley is in the Kane mould - somewhere between a 9 & a 10 where as I see Scarlett as more of a Callum Wilson type centre forward. Williams, with looks more of a channel runner so, again, a very different type of player. There's no reason that all 3 couldn't play together. If Williams fills out then who knows, maybe he could move centrally, but right now I'm thinking more Rashford than out and out 9. I think Parrott and Etete, while good are probably being developed at this point with resale value in mind. I don't think Parrott's new found maturity is quite enough to convince our coaches that he's going to be a top-four level centre forward. He'll probably have a good career at in the Championship for a couple of years before spending the majority of his career at a Southampton or Burnley where he tops out at maybe 12 goals a season. I like Etete but he's probably not mobile enough to play above the Championship.
