He was never terrible although most his best games seemed to come in the europaAlways thought he played well for us.
Totally agree. Couple of astute signings for them.I think Watford have done well , dunno the Stambo price , but him and Capoue seem pretty cut price . If both are motivated ,they could be effective for a newbie Prem team .
Good luck to both of them .
I think stambouli could well do alright for them. He seems like a player happy to sit back and protect,, which at spurs isn't what we looking for.
Will be interesting to see next season.
I agree. But we don't believe in DM's.If we'd looked for it a bit more last season we wouldn't have had such an abysmal defensive record.

what a weird signing he has been. i knew nothing about him before he signed and still feel like i know nothing now he's going.
What I am bewildered about is how we have only recently signed him and Fazio for that matter, and now we are moving them along. I know we cocked up with 5 of the 7 we bought in 2013 but I thought we would have learned from our mistakes. Did Potch want them or were they thrust apon him.

I do feel though that he never showed enough to suggest he would be good enough to be the main man in the centre of the park or that he had more potential the our own youth players
So I suppose the board (like me) would sooner give the opportunity to our home grown youth players than him based on what we've seen of him
Well I'm sure he was expected to do betterSo why buy him? We bought a 12 million pound defender who will probably replace Fazio who we just bought last season for 8 million and now Stambouli's on his way to.
Answers are needed and the person or persons should be held accountable.
By whom though? I severely doubt that Poch chose them in the first place.Well I'm sure he was expected to do better
I am a little shocked because I expected us to learn from that, to make the same kind of mistake again is a bit mind blowing. It's hardly shocking - he's one of several signings since (including) the bale window which haven't worked out
With the exception of 2 or 3 they've all been players I'm sure we all wish were never signed
