Hi all. Dont know if anyone has posted about this. While posting a reply to someone it suddenly dawned on me that alot of the better teams are all doing the exact same thing; not just formation (all 4231) but even the division of roles and the qualities required for those roles.

First up the lone striker who holds up and scores on the volley/layoff
Van Persie/Torres/Defoe/Suarez/Podolski
Then you have the pacey wingers with the expectation to score.
Then you have the 3 CM of link-up/interception/ball holding in final 3rd =
Man Utd: scholes/Carrick/Kagawa
Arseanl: Chamberlain/Diaby/Arteta
Chelsea: Ramiers/Mikel/Lampard
Lpool: Allen/Lucas/Gerrard
us: Livermore/Sandro/Dembele
Newcatle: Cabaye/Tiote/Guitierz

I guess Mourinho pretty much invented this (?) but is someone playing different out there, who is on the highest level? If what i say is right then Harry's Spurs are actually the anomaly...
