Irish radio said that Keane had a bit of a strop when taken off today.

Is that true?

No strop. He just verrrrrrry slowly left the pitch with his head sort of down.

Can't blame him. Crouch was offering little or nothing really, and he was left on.

Strong echoes of Keane under Ramos, who always seemed to take him off after about an hour.

Why is it so impossible for him to start on the bench? Because he's captain, apparently.

I hope when he goes off in the next game it's with a great big smile and maybe if we're lucky he'll break into a skip, Michael McIntyre style.

So scoring goals doesn't count anymore?

Btw, do you think Defoe and Crouch played good enuff too stay on?

Yeah he scored whoopie doo

Defoe & Crouch did actually link up once or twice.

Sorry but Keano is so poor at the moment. Yeah Crouch wasn't great and even Ledley was way off again today but Keano is having a Giraffe week in week out and its costing the team as far as shape/balance/understanding/creativity/threat all the time he's on the park

Does anyone think Keane should tell Harry that he won't play anywhere but up front? Then we could have a thread about how he should consider himself grateful to wear a Spurs shirt at all and will bloody play where Harry tells him to bloody play. That'll teach the fucker!

Oh my, now we have people mocking our goalscorers

Glad that you found pleasure in seeing Defoe and Crouch link up. Crouch best link up of the day might have been the assist when a certain Keane scored but....maybe i'm wrong...

He was probably nodding it down for JD but as usual Keano made the same run and got in the way:wink:

.....just about managerd to bundle it in

I thought they were equally poor, Keane was non existant but played in behind/left wing? and Crouch was pretty dire, Pav must be thinking "wow am i really that bad that i can't even get 5 minutes while wavy arm man and the flying daddy long legs play that badly?"

Crouch offers nothing to our overall play, just tries to juggle the ball while defenders swarm around, and Keane is just not that good and we should have left him at the B'dippers. let's face it, a strop is not far away from one of the strikers. 3 weeks ago he (Keane) was saying how hard it was to get in the team with such strength and his substitutions were taken well (almost like he knew he was playing poorly) now the Keane ego is starting to get back to it's best (unlike his performances)

having said that, not many great performances today, Palacios, JJ, BAE also stunk up the place

Robbie Keane always has and always will leave the pitch slowly, he could have had the worst game of his life and we be 2-1 down with 2 minutes left and he'd crawl off. It's his way, he's a bit of a drama queen. No strop, he just walks off slowly.

I think we've got a great set of strikers, and they all have their role to play, but why are people so down on Keane? Sure, he's not looked as good as during the Berbatov era, but Keane and Defoe has been our best pairing this year. We've scored more goals with that pair, the movement is great and whether Keane bangs them in or not, he opens up the game.

I reckon he was more upset with the fact that, for the 2nd game running, he was played out of position. He really needs to play his prefered role. It must be frustrating to have the fans on his back but also be asked to play a different role. He's never been the most versatile striker. Crouch should have come off though imo.

Up front,on the left,in defence or even in goal shall I say! He's been going through a very, very lean mediocre patch for too long now. We started settling down and taking a grip on things when he came off for Krancjar today, everyone with sensible reasoning would agree.

He needs a rest and needs to come on as a sub if need be, I'm sure that he'll understand. If he won't understand, then so be it.Now having said that,I hope no-one comes back at me saying that I am a Keano basher Blah......Blah.....Blah.....! 'Cause I'm not.

No one is any bigger than the Club............I don't have to say it do I really?
