We're wearing the aways again!!!!!! Finally. Those things are much nicer than the homes and the 3rds, IMO. Still need to ditch these kits and go back to last years proper kits.

So most think we will lose.

Most are at least reasonably happy with the starting 11.

Looking forward to a match thread without knee jerk vitriol being spouted then.

Wonderful.

Chadli should be starting. He has 6 goals in 11 starts this season. For a club that is goal shy, that's an incredible return. I'd have dropped Soldado or even given Kane a rest to fit Chadli in, as he is more likely to score than either one of our strikers.

could it be a fitness issue after his injury?

Well I can't complain about the team, exactly what I wanted to see. Bench could've done with some more attacking options but I firmly believe that's out absolute strongest starting 11. Lamela and Soldado need to do well today though.

TBF if there is any game Lamela will shine, it's this one.

Swansea will try to attack us, and give us space, which will suit him much more than Palace, Stoke etc.

Their continental style of play might benefit us today.

Love that Walker is back. Thank god.

433?
433 is a very definite way of play. If you do do 433, there is no doubt about it to the eye, you have to go all out and really do it to its fullest extent. Any other in between is not 433. This is only my own opinion, but it's how I see it. And Pochettino, for all his strengths and weaknesses, is not one to really choose 433.

Really not what I wanted to see to be honest. Inside wingers, Lamela out wide, Soldado and not the best support for the full backs. I hope the way I envision us playing with this is wrong.

That back 4 really should be solid enough for most games though, teams will have worse personnel than that and probably look tighter to be honest.

Lloris,
Walker, Fazio, Vertonghen, Davies;
Bentaleb, Mason;
Eriksen, Kane, Lamela;
Soldado

I guess Walker and Davies will be the width with Eriksen and lamela probably drifting more inside.

IMO I would have Kane up top on his own and let Soldado play behind, he has decent build up play but been a bit shocking when hitting the net.

Lennon was only making the squad recently due to Chadli and Townsend being injured. I'm convinced Poch doesn't see Lennon as part of his long term plans despite the fact he's done pretty well when he came in.
