I should add, I think Hazard has had a fine tournament - so I don't want to be bashing him. Plus, I think it was good enough to push him to Real Madrid - which helps Spurs...
For me he’s been a massive surprise as I never rated him before the WC.I can't believe the love Maguire gets
Yeah, I think Best keeper is down to the final 4 keepers - and I'd give the edge to Lloris.
1. Lloris
2. Pickford
3. Subasic
4. Courtois
maybe they already voted...Cross Lloris out then lol
Is that your opinion? If so - Lukaku?Lloris
Trippier Maguire Varane Hernandez
Modric Kante De Bruyne
Mbappe Lukaku Hazard
Think him, Pickford and Tripps excelled. Really noticeable yesterday though that in that system he needs someone with pace alongside him.For me he’s been a massive surprise as I never rated him before the WC.
He’s been solid at the back making quite a few a few crucial tackles but the two main things that have made him stand in my mind (and would fit into our team) have been:
- Composure on the ball; both carrying it out of defence and calmly giving himself a yard when under pressure
- Threat on set pieces, Trippier has delivered some great balls but Maguire has been the main target most times creating knock downs and bagging a goal with a great finish.
No. I’ve had loads of debates the last week and everyone who I’ve spoken to has said three pens and a ghost backheel really don’t make him a worthy golden boot winner. So the Golden Boot winner doesn’t make anyone’s team ?
But the fact is - he is, in a team that hardly created chances. Did a lot more work for the team than Lukaku or Cavani - seriously, the man gets hardly any credit!!No. I’ve had loads of debates the last week and everyone who I’ve spoken to has said three pens and a ghost backheel really don’t make him a worthy golden boot winner.
