Think Porro will be out.

Arsenal best at set pieces in the league, whilst we're vulnerable defending them.

Time to make some big balls, praying Richslarlison is back and we'll need Kulu's work rate, Maddison on the bench. Ange is never stating GLC either.

Vicario

Royal
Romero
VDV
Udogie

Bentancur
Sarr
Kulusevski

Johnson
Richarlison
Son

Subs: Austin, Dragusin, Davies, PEH, Bissouma, GLC, Maddison, Werner, Scarlett

I’d swap Maddison for Johnson, and move him into Deki’s position. He’s not been great, but he’s got the mentality for the NLD. And we need players that can hold the ball.

Be tempted to play Sarr for PEH, just because I think Arsenal would target him the moment he receives the ball from defence.

But honestly who knows.

You meant Bentacur at 6 then Sarr at 8?

Id play PEH, the only real leader out there imo.

Yeah no way Maddison will be dropped for this game of all games in my opinion, even if he deserves to be.

Arsenal will play round PEH like all teams did last season. Not mobile or technical enough.
Richy for Werner and Sarr for Biss. Hope Porro is fit as Royal is generally hopeless and will get a new one torn by Saka

Well, if its more of the same we're going to get completely over run.

Yesterday, he was getting knocked off the ball and out muscled so easily.

Kulusevski against Rice is a good tussle, the latter will dominate Maddison on current form.

yeah, I like PEH a lot, but Arsenal are the best pressers in the league, and the moment he receives it on the turn from the CBs, he’ll have Odegaard or Rice in his face and feel Bentancur could deal with it better. Sarr just has the energy to outrun everyone and we’ll need it as Arsenal tire.

Will Saka not be up against Udogie.

Id toy with the idea of Dragusin for Royal, if Porro is out (looks like hamstring, so probably will be out)

Yeah good shout mate, PEH when teams are sitting off is probably better suited, going to put Sarr in.

I think Ange will see it as a challenge issued to him, as someone with a big personality, to rise to such an occasion. I would be starting Lo Celso over him personally, but we know that's never going to happen either.

Yes I guess so mate.

And maybe the magnitude of the game will reignite Maddison and its a turning point.

Just frustrated Lo Celso hasnt been given more of a chance. I thought Ange would of really liked him, strange

I had a dream last night that we went 2-0 up and celebrated like crazy after the second goal. Arsenal then got one back straight from kick off.
We started panicking under pressure and then it was 2-2. Vic then goes off injured and our reserve keeper has a mare, makes a mistake, tries to recover but brings down the arsenal player in the box. A straight red and they score from the penalty. Arsenal go into half time with a 3 -2 lead and us down to ten men.

I wake up at this point as I refuse to sit through the second half. Feeling knackered now as I've been up since 2am in fear that if I go back to sleep I'll have to watch the second half.

Definitely need Deki's work rate somewhere back in the team and Richy up front for a bit more strength with Sonny reverting back to the left.

You'd like to think so. There have been a couple of times recently where I've thought he was finding form again, only to then perform poorly again the next game so I'm not too optimistic at the moment!

I agree regarding Lo Celso. And at least to the public there have certainly been more suggestions that Hojbjerg wants to leave, so I'm not sure if the argument that he's seeing fewer minutes because of a lack of commitment is accurate, and I personally don't agree with not utilising him if he's the best option for certain circumstances. Does seem strange.

Tempted to go with 3 of PEH, Sarr, Bentancur, or Biss.

Try to get some semblance if solidity through the centre of the park

I would love to see PEH and Bentancur close to Deki.

For some reason, Ange seems a bit reluctant to have Bentancur and Deki on at the same time, which is a shame because I feel Deki always have his best games when he can combine quickly with Bentancur.

Deki often slows the attack down, but that is almost always when he gets isolated.

With PEH, Bentancur and Deki on at the same time we will at least have three players with the instinct and will to move the ball quickly, which in my opinion has been one of our biggest problems lately.

Although, I get Deki is a big ask considering his recent form.

A lot now depends on whether Porro and Richarlison are fit.

Expect Arsenal to be a serious threat to us on set pieces and hopefully the coaching staff take this seriously and we are better prepared. My team for Arsenal is a bit radical but we are currently defensively open, ponderous in midfield and a bit one dimensional up front.

Vicario

Dragusin Romero VDV

Porro (Kulu) Sarr Bent Udogie

GLC

Johnson Richarlison (Son)

Probably overthought it and expect to see Biss and Maddison start again and the usual 4-3-3 with Richy in for Werner with Son moving out to the left.

Got to get Sonny back on the left. Just wasted where he is.. cannot hold the ball up.
Those crosses coming across from Johnson have a far better chance of going in if Son is on the end. Werner. Do me a favour. Yesterday!!!!
