Conte will probably start Sanchez at RWB just to boil piss on here

I’d go

Lloris

Romero Dier Lenglet

Spence Biss Skipp Bentancur Sess

Kane Son

Subs : Forster, Doherty, Sanchez, Perisic, PEH, Gil, Richy

Fresh legs in the engine room, extra man in there to give us some control. Spence must play

But I’d be amazed if it’s anything other than the same as Tuesday but Sess in for Emerson and Perisic at RWB

I didn’t see the game last night but a couple of podcasts that I’ve listened to this morning seem to think Kane got injured and will likely be out for this weekend?

I think this weekend will be the start of Conte trying to “squad manage”, which he’ll have to do. Too many games coming up to not have one or two players each game given a rest. I get Conte doesn’t rate some of our bench, and that is fine, but some will need minutes to rest other players, ideally in games we should win.

For this game, it’s too good a side in Brighton to tinker much. Assuming Kulusevski is out, I’d hope for a 352 with Bissouma in for Richy/Son with the other primed to come on in the second half raring to go. Also, would love Spence to start, but it’ll be Perisic RWB and Sess LWB, which should be fine as Royal will start Wednesday vs Frankfurt.

I'd like to see Perisic on the right of the front 3. Just change it up a bit. We're really missing Kulu there, Doc RWB.

But he'll probably play Perisic RWB and Sess left. The rest of the team will be the same as it has been.

He picked up two separate knocks. One where he either jarred a knee or collided with a post (hard to tell), the other when the keeper & two defenders made a last ditch block on him.
He took a while to recover from both but completed the 90 mins so wouldn’t see that keeping him out of Saturday.

I haven't heard that but let's face it, I'm not even sure we'd miss him right now. He probably needs a game off anyway.

If Dier is injured and Emerson is suspended:

Lloris
Romero Lenglet Davies
Spence Højbjerg Bissouma Bentancur Sessegnon
Kane Son

All I'll say to that is if you're waiting to see us play a 3-5-2, good luck with that.

I have to admit, I'm really looking forward to our game on Saturday evening (if the train strikes allow it to go ahead). I have a really strong feeling we're going to finally come good and play like we all know we can, and more importantly, come away with all three points.

I know, WTF have I been drinking.

Hear where?

Can't see any time frame mentioned anywhere

I thought Conte mentioned it in one of his press conferences but I may have imagined it. I'd LOVE to hear he's actually fit and ready to return.

If he picks the same starting X1 with Sess replacing Royal and we put in a performance like last weekend, then the pressure and criticism will intensify and it will be interesting to see how he reacts..

Yeah that pressure from our second best start in PL history is really starting to bite

Would be nice to see that, although after what Conte's recently said, I'd be surprised if Spence got the nod. I think it will be Doherty, Perisic or Sessegnon at RWB.
