Olympiacos are top of the Greek League on 9 points after 3 games after beating Volos Nps 5-0 yesterday. Up to yesterday's game, Volos Nps also had full points from their first 2 games, but they were crushed yesterday by a very strong Olympiacos performance.
Yesterday's win will have Olympiacos on a high ahead of Wednesday's game, so we need to be putting out a strong, balanced side to face into what is bound to be a hostile atmosphere in Piraeus.

---------------LLoris--------------
Aurier--Toby------Jan------Davies
--------Ndombele---Winks--------
---Lamela----Eriksen------Son---
---------------Kane----------------

Subs: Gazza, Rose, Dier, Sissoko, Lucas, Dele, KWP

Our front four did well yesterday so there is no need to make a swap. Dele to come on first to get some minutes.

What I do like is that whoever we choose, we'll have good quality choices who will be fresh for the following trip to Leicester, possibly including a place in the squad for Sessegnon which will further thicken up the options.

Given the need to keep players fresh for Leicester and give returning players minutes, I’d go for:

Lloris
KWP* Toby Jan Davies
N’dombele Dier
Dele
Lucas Son
Kane

Gazza
Aurier* (swap if KWP isn’t ready)
Rose
Sissoko
Winks
Lamela
Eriksen/Parrott

This will be a tough game and bloody intimidating crowd.

I think play like we did yesterday but Lucas and Son with Kane up front

I think Aurier has to play - needs a run of games and none of this rotation.

I think Ndombele will be on the bench.

The question is CE or Lamela - Lamela presses really well but CE is CE. Dele also

ARGHHHHHHHHH options options options.

Pretty sure Lucas will start this, as will Ndombele.

Expect it to be:

Lloris

Aurier
Toby
Jan
Davies

Ndombele
Winks

Lucas
Eriksen
Son

Kane

Expect we'll see Rose, Sissoko and Lamela return for Leicester. Maybe Dele as well if gets more minutes on Wednesday.

HI all, i am greek , not a fan of Olympiacos i hate them, but i can tell you about their team. First of all, they have a very strong home Ch.League record. And if i am not mistaken , since they moved to their new stadium about 15 years ago ,the only English team to win there is Arsenal (once). And Arsenal has also lost 3 times. United lost, Liverpool lost, Chelsea had a draw, Burnley lost very easily last year. Also Real Madrid never won in 3 visits, Barcelona didn't win. Juventus has one win and one loss, Atletico Madrid lost. So you see, not a joke really. I kinda see my english friends being too optimistic about this game and i think you underestimate them. They are a punching bag in away games but at home, they are one of the really difficult teams to face.
As for the team they have this year, well it is a strange one. They have strong defense (although Semedo who is a top class defender will probably not play) but their actual strength is that they change the tempo mid game especially when they find the space to move fast. So basically, you could pressure them all night long, think that you have this if you score once and then in 10 minutes it could be 3-0 and you wouldn't know what hit you. They have 8 wins and one draw in their games this season and the goal record is 18-1. And 6 of these games were with decent teams before they entered the group stage.
I am not saying that they are a scary team, if Tottenham is focused and well prepared then you guys will get the win. But if your team faces them like it's an easy match let me tell you, it could get embarrassing pretty quickly.
Don't expect a walk in the park, this will be a fight and your team should be prepared for it.
Good luck, i really want you to win this.

I will be amazed if we don’t see the same team that started on Saturday.

Gazza
KWP Dier Jan Davies
Winks Ndomb
Dele Erik Sonny
Moura
Subs; Hugo, Kane, Sess, Lamela, Toby, Skipp

EDIT: Gazza, Dier, Davies, Ndom and Dele were all on the bench yesterday and all need minutes given our schedule. Is 5 changes too many? Perhaps...But I’m sure all the ‘wtf’ ratings will get retracted if thats close to the starting team.
lol this aint a league cup match

If the Poch quote from earlier in this thread is accurate then he's explicitly saying there'll be some rotation. For me the likeliest players to be rotated are Winks, Lamela, and Rose (all of whose fitness will need to be managed carefully over the course of the season) and Son (who had the most taxing international break of all of our players). Sissoko's had a lot of minutes as well but he's an ironman who can handle the workload better than the others. Even with a bit of rotation that's still a really strong team that should be able to do the job.

Cheers for the heads up mate.

I’ve been thinking 7-0 all week but after reading this sounds like 4 or 5 nil is more likely.

A balance between keeping the momentum and some rotation. No weakened team though!

Dier and Winks maybe but please no Sissoko and Dier, the ball will almost stop in the center of the park. Think Winks was taken off early yesterday in prep for this match.
