Strange because BT Sport had a spot on their schedules on Thursday for the game but that has now been removed must have decided the fee for the game wasn't worth it.

Pacos transfer activity a bit odd they paid £2.25 million for one player ( wonder if that is an error on the website ) and that's about it rest of it mostly freebies..

I would leave the players that played on Sunday at home, we have enough players to put out a team to take them on.

I don't think we should be complacent, send a second string but definitely not a youth side.
It is still a Portuguese side we're playing

Whatever team we put out against Pacos , the game on Sunday v Wolves has to take precedence , top 4 finish is a must for the club. With the 2nd leg at home we should be able to rest a few players for the first game against Pacos but on the other hand being early in the season maybe Nuno will want to play a lot of last Sundays selection to get them all really match fit. The new signings will be certain starters.

Video on spurs Twitter of players getting on plane show:

Gil, Doherty, Gollini, Scarlett, John, Davies, Romero and GLC.

Im not confident in playing just 8 players.

Gollini

Doherty —-Romero——Rodon—-Sessegnon

Winks—-Skipp—Lo Celso

Bergwijn—-Scarlett——Bryan

Would prefer not to see Doherty but Tanganga needs to ease himself in. Hojbjerg looked absolutely done at end of City game so reluctantly picking Winks even though I’d like to continue seeing Skipp and Hojbjerg build the understanding. Excited to see Bryan and Scarlett get some decent time and keep Son and Lucas fresh.

Why?

It’s a ‘what I’d like to see’ thread

I'd like to see Messi up front next game feeding Robert Lewandowski, not going to happen.

Posting what you'd like to see is absolutely fine, but I think when a player is not registered (Ndombele, Aurier) or has not travelled (Kane) there is absolutely no point in putting them in your line up. You don't put injured player in there either.

I was going to say something like that but I thought I would keep quiet, you missed out Neymar :)

Looks as if Dele and Bergwijn have stayed at home. Devine etc still at the training ground based on social media content too. Hard to work out what the group that has travelled is based on the clubs content.

Gollini
Doherty Rodon Romero Davies
Winks Sissoko
Gil John Lucas
Scarlett

Droll.

Clearly people can only post at the time that they have whatever information is available. At the time of posting many people, myself included, did not know who would be on the plane. We did of course know Messi and Aurier would not be. Suggesting people change their posts based on the new information that a player is not going to be there is playing way too much importance on what is just meant to be a bit of fun.

As Dele covered the most mileage against City probably needs a rest if he has not travelled, shame about Devine like to see a few more minutes of him playing with the 1st team and see how he is shaping up , he looked good in u23's the other night.

Hate on me for having a losers mentality but I really think we should blood all the kids. I'm really not bothered about this competition. Save our big guns for the league.
Go out in the qualifiers and it's a lot less game time for these kids. Needs to be a mix.

Good, want to see more of Lo Celso, Romero, Rodon, John, Sessegnon (if fit), Scarlett. Could mean Winks and Sissoko though.
Edit: Excited for Gil too.

Did Lucas travel? Hard to envision him going from the start - he has already logged a lot of minutes in pre-season.
