I think will likely be the team picked. Small difference might be Stevie B for Lamela and Doherty for Tanganga.

Son, Hojbjerg and Kane desperately need a rest.

Bale needs to be saved and Bergwijn, Dele and Vinicius need confidence.

So it seems posters are either going for the Winks-Sissoko pivot of doom, or even Dier in midfield.

Dier in midfield simply doesn't work for the fact alone that he's completely oblivious to what's going on behind him.

When we've played the organised low block he's looked decent this season, since there's no space behind him, and he's fairly good in the air and at clearing the ball. As soon as we push up, the opposition know to target the space in behind Dier. Dier in midfield would mean a nice pocket of space for an opposition AM between the defence and Dier.

I would like to see Cirkin get some game time at LB.

Stick a couple of cones in Cm if we are resting Hojbjerg and Ndombele. Can't be any worse than other options...

At least we might get a lucky rebound off one of the cones.

NO Son, Kane, Hojbjerg, or Ndombele would be a good start.
For this match it could be the right time to give players lacking in confidence the chance to play and regain their self-belief.
I know I'm going against the grain but Dier needs to have a chance to get back his belief as we are going to need him in the coming months. Winks and others who are belittled on here also need to show their worth as squad players.
I hope to see Bale start and hopefully he can be taken off after us getting a comfortable lead tonight and then he can play his part this weekend.
I really want to see Vini get amongst the goals as well and for Dele to have a major part to play as he also needs his confidence to be restored.
We need to get a settled back four and so I dunno what we will play but I want to positive game on the front foot (cue optimistic ratings) to regain a lot of players confidence.
Then into this weekend and hopefully we can get three points this weekend.
