Bissouma only didn’t start that game due to a knock. No way he doesn’t start imo if he’s fit. Given how incredible he’s been.

Personally I think Biss should be one of the first names on the team sheet based on pre-season

Interestingly in a picture of VDV posted by the club earlier, it looked as though he and Romero were defending together so maybe he'll go straight in.

Also hope GLC starts too as I think he offers a lot of tenacity and technical ability.

It might be too early to start VDV. Plus, Sanchez did really well for the majority vs Barca and could earn a start.

Only change would be Skipp or Lo Celso in for Sarr for me, probably Skipp given who physical Brentford are.

I get that, but we need to be mindful that we need some defensive balance from the 8. Perhaps skipp ahead of PEH

dont think we'll ever see lo celso and maddison in the same team, unless we're chasing a goal late on.

ange has said that he likes Sarr and Skipp in that other 8 role because they cover the ground and they're good, athletic transitional players. I think we lose that aspect if we play lo celso in that role.

Technically Vicario has.

And it would be very close between Sarr and Hojbjerg - though I think Hojbjerg has him beat officially by 1 minute.


But, yes, the barely used Hojbjerg has more minutes than any other outfield player.

What I was showing was that the 'he has hardly featured' isn't true, and played as much as probably anyone else for an outfield player. Vicario played in more games.

No, reality check: let's not throw in VdV. That would be madness.

Same back 4 as for Shakhtar. Davies is dependable and we know his fitness level, this is exactly the situation where you use him. VdV, meanwhile, has just walked through the door after having spent the summer in flip-flops.

The way Ange wants to play, I'd have Sanchez or VdV ahead of Davies. Mbuemo was dangerous enough last season with little space behind. Can't give him a load more room to work in with Davies defending it.
