Our strongest 11 or we will get turned over.
This is funny considering close to our strongest XI was just played off the pitch for 90' by a mid table belgian side, teh strongest XI was shredded apart by Liverpool and hasnt looked close to good since beating Chelsea a month ago.

Lets see what others have to offer. Wycombe wasnt a good game but that doesnt mean some ayers shouldnt be given more opportunities. Plus if Sissoko can continue to get opportunities, then CCV, Onomah, Trippier, GKN, and Wimmer damn well should some opportunities too.

It's not just about putting out the best available players though.

It's about using the players that want to win the game. The ones that played at Gent, well most of them anyway, didn't show enough desire to do so.

Hope Poch drills that into the players' heads before all our remaining games.

We need to get back to playing 3 at the back. The 4-2-3-1 hasn't been working well for a few games in a row now (okay last night was a slight variation) so surely a cup game is a good time to go back to the alternative.

The issue is obviously that we don't have a left wing back, but in a game against Fulham Davies can do that role.

I'd drop (not rest) most of the herberts from last night. They were terrible and don't really deserve to be picked.

Vorm

Alderweireld Dier Vertonghen

Trippier Wanyama Winks Davies

Son Janssen N'Koudou

Close enough to our 'first team' have played in the last two games and got turned over.

I think it would damage the morale of the squad and send out the wrong message to those first team players if they are not rotated. Not to mention the fact they might actually need a rest.

Pochettino needs squad members to step up and challenge to put a bit of energy in the squad, the only way they can show this is with time on the pitch.

Something like

Vorm
Trippier
Davies
Wimmer
Carter-Vickers
Dier
Winks
Onomah
Eriksen
Nkoudou
Janssen

I'd like to see Janssen play with a side that can give him some service.

I'd also rest the two battleships in CM and go with some passing ability. However good Fulham are we should still dominate possession so let's try and be progressive.

Vorm
CCV Dier Wimmer
Trippier Eriksen Winks KWP
Edwards Janssen Son
