Back to the team that beat City on the opening day … (but with Lo Celso instead of Dele, Romero for Sanchez and Royal in for Tanganga)…

Lloris
Royal Romero Dier Reguilon
Skipp Højbjerg
Lo Celso
Moura Son Bergwijn

Defend properly and use aggressive and pacey counters.

Maguire has been utter shite for the past 5 matches.

He will have a blinder tomorrow then.

He will if we resort to lumping it up to Kane all of the time. Kane will fall over at every opportunity and we'll get absolutely nothing. I'd put Kane on the bench personally but Nuno won't.

It's obvious to everyone and his dog that United have a huge weakness between Shaw and Maguire. Full out press and son moving over to the right. A bit of a wonky formation but go for the throat. If Kane puts in another half assed performance then sub him for lo Celso and put son up top.

Lloris
Royal. Romero. Sanchez. Reguillon
Hoijberg. Skipp. Ndombele
Son. Lucas
Kane

Not bothered about Sanchez or dier and maybe even Davies for reguillon.

Lots of long left to right diagonals.

It will be the same team that played against West Ham, I think we all know that, bar injuries.

United are not a great side, and they have a poor manager. But in Ronaldo, Greenwood, Bruno and Rashford they have players to really hurt us. We only average a goal a game and this tends to be against the weaker teams. If we try to play our slow moving possession based tactics as we did against West Ham we will certainly lose.

I was originally thinking that we had no option but to play Kane with Bergwijn being poor and Gil injured but I've gone for a shout which I know will be massively unpopular and I understand why and that is pushing Dele into the attacking 3. The reason I'd do that is twofold, one because I think dele whilst not being great at football recently will actually press and help us turnover the ball to create chances and two because maybe it'll fire the rocket up Kane's ass to be useful as a substitute.
Switching Son and Dele around in your selection could also work. Dele pressing from the front as a ‘false 9’ with Moura and Son bombing in from out wide.

If we go down without showing any attacking cohesion or intent, then surely Nuno's days are numbered.
