Walker Toby(praying) Verts Rose

Eriksen Winks Dembele

Lamela Kane N'Koudou

We are at home to Swansea, we don't need a dedicated DM and Wanyama whilst individually very good he has hampered our play somewhat. You could say the same for Dembele in most of our games but Moose brings more to the table attacking wise. Moose and Winks can alternate who is the deepest CM

Not sure where people are getting this optimism from regarding injuries. Would love for Toby to be back and Lamela to slot in on the right though with GKN moving left and Alli moving to the bench. I really don't think we need to play Dembele for this game, they will most likely sit back so we have to move the ball quickly.

Many dropping our best player this season, Wanyama. Weird
I dont think he actually offers the back four as much protection as Dier does who works better with the two CB's imo

He has done a great job breaking up play but doesnt screen the back like Dier does imo

Optimism is the only thing we have. Let us hold on to this single shred of hope for a few days at least.

But our problem is scoring goals.... not helping the defence

I will drop Alli to the bench. Hopefully Toby is back. If so, would drop/rest Dier & play Toby back where he belongs.

You think the same if Kante at Chelsea? He's not there to offer things in attack. He's been brilliant for us, the rest of the team have let him down

Try telling Wanyama that as he casually jogs back whilst the opposition breaks on our defence for the thousandth time.

I think we may see more of GNK from now on - not sure if he will start this match but fully expecting him to start one in the next couple of weeks.

One little flick is not enough to fill me the confidence that he's going to be our long term saviour.. very right footed for a left sided wide man!. I'd give him a run, as our other options are limited.

No one's saying he'll be our saviour - it's clear that we need to try and mix it up a bit as Son's not producing, and apart from him we have no pace or trickery on either wing without Lamela.

Might as well try him.

We need some goals and a big win to restore some confidence, and I'm really not worried about Swansea as an attacking force.

I'm also not obsessed with a clean sheet and would happily concede a goal if it meant we scored 3 or 4 and showed some more adventure and attacking ambition.

Really hoping N'Koudou gets a start. Besides Son's inconsistent movement, he is our only willing runner.

It's harsh on Wanyama but if Toby is fit then we should revert to the setup which brought us a lot of success last year. Wanyama has been excellent but in a wierd way it hasn't improved the team. Therefore:

Hugo

Walker - Toby (Wimmer) - Jan - Rose

Dier - Dembele

Eriksen - Dele - Lamela (Son)

Kane

Last years success was also built on Toby not missing a game, Kane not
Missing a game and scoring lots of goals, Ali being a revelation and scoring goals, Lamela playing and pressing and setting tempo. To blame current form on Wanyama is crazy.
