I know what formation I want us to play, I'm just unsure on what player I want at RCB and what player I want at RWB. Do we see the return of the king in Doherty. Do we see Bergwijn take that RWB role considering he spent majority of his time under Jose in that area. Does Emerson have attacking prowess to where we think he suits that spot. I think it's pretty open.

For Thursday though I'd like to see what Doherty would look like in a proper 3-5-2. Conte is known for getting a little out of a lot and I think that'd be his greatest challenge.

Lloris
Emerson Romero Rodon
Doherty Skipp Reguilon
Lo Celso Ndombele
Kane Son

I just can’t see him being mobile enough for conte tbh. I might be wrong but he’s still just pretty slow.

I'm assuming you mean Doherty, I can see that. I'm just not sure that Emerson main strengths are what I've from Conte's RWB's but he could either develop Emerson for that or Develop Bergwijn into that as he's not the player we anticipated but I seem to remember during our strongest period under Jose that Bergwijn spent majority of his time acting as a RWB and I could see him working out in that type of role. I'm only giving Doherty a shout for thursday because it's the europa conference league but in the league I'd anticipate Emerson getting the early nod.

I appreciate I'm probably in the minority, but I would love us to win this cup and hope we give it a good go.
I agree mate, need to get the team to gel and start winning games. We also need to start acting like winners and install the winning mentality, winning a trophy any trophy could be a catalyst for the future. TO DARE IS TO DO

I don't know what team will be picked for the Vitesse game (or even who's going to be picking it), but one thing I feel sure about, is that we're going to see a packed stadium, but if Nuno was still here, it'd have been barely half empty.

EDIT: Of course, as it's just been pointed out to me, the stadium is NOT going to be at capacity Thursday as the entire top tier will not be available. D'OOOH!!

:(

Apparently Conte is not training tomorrow so he will only have minutes with the squad, so unless he has watched previous games I feel he can only go with the team that got shat on by manure, which none of the fans will like but might be a good thing for him to see how bad some players are. However what ever team he picks I expect to see an injection of energy/pace, but it will take time for him to find the players he likes, that if there are any! Just a thought, is he prone to developing youngsters?
Come on you Conte Spurs

Why on earth do you think you are ion the minority?

Conte could target 3 trophies and a top 4 finish AND make that a realistic achievement

He will have seen enough of us and be familiar with our players to pick a lineup. And anyone lucky enough to be in it would be bonkers to not be giving everything with a golden chance to cement themselves into his thinking longer term.

I don't believe for one minute all he did today and all he will do tomorrow is observe. He may not be completely hands on but i bet once the cameras have gone he will have, by all intents and purposes, started his reign*.

*of terror, if your Harry Winks.

I thought it was impossible to be this excited about a game in the fourth round of the Europe Conference League but here we are. Can't wait!

We will definitely go strong, my guess would be:

Lloris -
Tanganga, Dier, Romero -
Højbjerg -
Emerson, Ndombele, Dele, Regulion -
Kane, Son.

The bench filled by the rest (Sessegnon and Bryan injured):
Gollini, Austin, Sanchez, Rodon, Doherty, Davies, Winks, Skipp, Lo Celso, Bergwijn, Lucas, Markanday (I think he should be given the chance before Scarlett for now).

Full strength, whatever that is going to be (would even play Lloris)
Yea agree, I'd go full strength for this:

Lloris

Royal
Sanchez
Romero
Dier
Regullion

PEH
Lo Celso

Lucas
Kane
Son

Or

Lloris

Royal
Sanchez
Romero
Dier
Regullion

PEH
Lo Celso
Ndombele

Kane
Son

3-5-2 or 3-1-4-2

wonder which he will play, i'm hoping 3-1-4-2 as our wingers are pretty guff but perhaps in a 3-4-3 Lucas/Bergwijn/Gil might show a bit more.

Is Gil back? I know he got injured but not seen anything for how long he was out for.

Dele in the midfield 3 is an interesting shout.

I'd not rule anything out and if Conte wants a late runner to the box Dele would be great but I think he'd start PEH, Skipp and one of GLC/Ndombele over Dele but we will see ey.
