Tanganga Sanchez Alder Sess
Dier Winks
Lo Celso Lamela Son
Moura

My opinion is to trust the youth players at FB, they're a breathe of fresh air and this season looks difficult to do anything so get them 6 solid months. If we could get Skipp down the line also that'd be terrific but one step at a time.

I am sure Dele and Serge will start, maybe even Eriksen. Think your selection looks right for the future, form and general continuity for this season.

Son is looking well off the boil and Dele's new manager bounce form has seemingly subsided.

Is Ndombele out of this game?
Didn't see the team news for today, so not sure what stage he is at.

If all fit

Gazza
Tanganga Sanchez Toby Sessegnon
Winks Ndombele
Lamela Dele Lo Celso
Son

-----------------Gazza--------------
Japhet-Sanchez-Toby-Sess
Aurier-Winks--Skipp-Son
-----------Lucas-Lamela--------

Subs: Vorm, Verts, Dier, Dele, Lo Celso, Parrott, Ndombele

Not even sure i am convinced by that lot. Doubt Lo Celso and Lamela could both be done after 60 so only start one.

Think it's got to be doubtful that Lamela and Lo Celso start after going 90 minutes.

It's incredible that anybody should want them too. Not because they arent' great (they are) but they couldn't go 50 minutes against Middlesborough. They are WAYYYYY off what it takes to trust starting the Premier league after a midweek game.

Watch people complain when Eriksen DOES start. It's because Mourinho has no option - he's got a handful of players who have the necessary fitness.

Vorm Aurier Vertonghen Gedson Eriksen Dele Parrott

If Ndombele is fit, plays in place of Dier, who takes Vertonghen’s bench spot. Ditto Davies Sessegnon Aurier and Lloris Gazzaniga Vorm.

It's just plain wrong if Lo Celso and Lamela don't start.

Sigh...

So you expect them to suddenly magically gain elite aerobic capacity in four days when they couldn't last 50 minutes against Borough?

When they are fully fit THEN they are obvious starters. they aren't fully aerobically fit. Wasn't that obvious tonight?

Only way that's going to improve is by starting games. I expect they'll last longer at the weekend (if selected) because they got that 90 under their belts.

Dele will probably start but he looked as shot as they did a few minutes after coming on and slowed it down as usual (although that was probably the point in him coming on)

I'd rather come out as a better functioning football team for 60 minutes giving us the best chance to actually get ahead in the game then make changes if energy is dropping, than play slow, turgid way your facing stuff for for 60 minutes before making changes to save the game

Look, I get where you're coming from and I want nothing more than to see NDombele, Lo Celso etc starting for us every game BUT

There's a reason Mourinho is starting Dele, Eriksen and all the other people everyone keeps moaning about incessantly. It's because they are the only ones professional enough to have the appropriate and required fitness base to do so. Slag them off all you want but the fact is is is criminal that NDombele and Lo Celso are so underdone as footballers. Lamela is a different cat because even under Poch he was good only for 60 minutes of total energiser bunny action - but NDombele and Lo Celso have come from backgrounds where nobody ever got a coach sacked because he was asking them to get fit.

Mourinho is playing the Poch players because the Poch players are still the only ones fit enough to play Premier league football week in week out.

The cancer is in the dressing room who pretended that they didn't need the Poch training schedule to be better players. Now we're forced to play Eriksen who doesn't want to play here but is a fucking professional and has that fitness so Mourinho plays him.

Mourinho is not an idiot. He's not going to send out a first team who can't aerobically do the minimum of what he's asking of them.

Lo Celso was at Copa America and returned to training late but it wasn't his fault that we fucked about for 2 weeks at the end when he could have got involved in training. He's then got injured on international duty which he went to in order to get some minutes under his belt. He then was slowly introduced and had 2 starts in a row under Poch and he completed 90 minutes just fine against sheffield united. Infact he was our best player.

Jose has decided to go with the players he knows and that's fine but lets not reinvent history and pretend that Lo Celso is unfit because of anything other than a lack of playing regularly which was the managers decision.

Lo Celso was blowing 30 minutes in and blown out 47 minutes in.

That's the reality.

All I'm saying is that until that changes Eriksen plays until he leaves. people should stop fucking moaning about it and deal with reality not fantasy - there's a reason we looked so good against Liverpool last 30 minutes because Lo Celso and Lamela had 30 minutes of top effort to put in. Mourinho said it himself ffs.

We all WANT Lamela and LoCelso and Ndombele to start every game. It's not going tohappen until its aerobically possible.

They have whole fucking football science departments working this shit out - and they keep telling us. So it's just annoying when people expect something different that is, currently, not possible.
