That defence is giving me nightmares already
Would it be weird if Pochettino played? He’d probably be useful.
Or we could just wedge Ruddock into our goal sticks.

Tbf context is important. At the time Newcastle were very good. They'd finished 5th the season before and often would qualify for the CL. We finished 14th and had qualified for Europe once in a decade (through the league cup), so it did have logic. The fact that Newcastle started to tank and we started to climb is just a funny coincidence. They both left a bitter taste in the mouth, but at least Berbatov went to the biggest and best club in the country/world and actually won a lot, same with Teddy and Carrick.
Keane, I think he jumped ship but even Liverpool is a club that win things with more regularity than Tottenham.
Newcastle hadn't, and still haven't won anything, of any description since the 1950's
He jumped ship for, what I suspect was the biggest salary on offer rather than the chance to actually win trophies.
I've lobbed seaman from 50 yards...but my wife told me to clean it up afterwards. .....I love the fact that Nayim is involved. Definitely not a legend from his time with us, but not many men can say they’ve lobbed seaman from 50 yards.
With Berbatov my attitude has softened over the years. I didn’t like the way he went about leaving, but he was involved in King’s testimonial, and the WHL send off, so he must care about the club.
I can think of no Earthly reason why ‘Chimbomba’ is there, but it doesn’t bother me. Hope he brings his gloves.
Would have loved to see Barmby and Brad, and I hope someone at the club at least asked Maradona to make an appearance. A cameo from the GOAT would have been amazing.

Probably got Chimbo involved for younger legs to provide a bit of energy. It's all well and good having a load of 90's players who we'd consider legends but it isn't going to make for a great game when their legs have gone...I love the fact that Nayim is involved. I think it’ll be more of a wobble than a run for Ronaldo these daysWho do we want to see turn out for the Inter side? Brazilian Ronaldo running at Chris Perry would be epic
I think it’ll be more of a wobble than a run fit Ronaldo these days
Just googled him and yeah, he's let himself go.
Some incredible forwards over the years though. Vieri, Adriano, Baggio, Recoba, Eto'o, Ibrahimovic, Crespo, Milito...
I remember years ago Sky One had a couple of celebs/ex-pros matches where some Geordie guy from Big Brother was MOM on both occasions. Anyhow, they had Gazza come onto the pitch at half time to have a shot into an empty net (no idea if it was to win someone some money or something) and he failed miserably, scuffing a shot which didn't even reach the byline. The last video I saw of him playing football, he was absolutely awful
