Really starting to piss me off the amount of no balls Cummings bowls, almost every replay he is close or over the line, probably cost us 15 runs today alone

Good day for England. Gutted Denly didn't quite make the century, but its a good lead. 400 would make me feel more comfortable though.

I really don't understand why they don't just let the third umpire call no balls and leave the on field umpire to focus on the other end. It's not always easy to see in real time when it's close but would be very easy/quick to do for the third umpire.

Edit: just noticed you had already said the same in a subsequent post.

Yes, gutted for Joe Denly particularly, but over all, my feeling about our prospects for a win is cautiously confident. Deep in the pit of my stomach though, is the fear of Smith and Labuschagne saying a final farewell to us all with huge innings both, and that little weasel Warner could do the same as a parting gesture as we all know he can, sadly.

I don't hold out too much hope of us adding to our overnight 382 lead, but still with a couple of wickets in hand, you never know what further heroics await us. Wouldn't it be great to make 400! Also, I have to say I think both Smith and Labuschagne owe us a couple of duds, so you never know but I'll be here watching every ball with endless mugs of tea and a ton of bickies!

Well you are right on top. It really should not have been this way. Picking the best bowlers in a test is the only way. This rotation rubbish is a fail and chairman of selectors Hohns is at fault. We have the best team of three quicks in world cricket but they have played together ONCE on tour. Fucking disgrace.
As for dropping Head (who is our third highest scorer this series and vice captain) what does that do for a young player. What future does Wade have. Pissed off.
As for all our lefties being found out on this tour, we were found out in our last summer. India targeted our lefties round the wicket and Bumrah in particular ( who I rate very highly) had great success round the wicket to them. Seems England watched that series too.
Anyway, good luck chaps, rant over. Should be a win for you boys.

Can Australia score 400 or bat all day today and tomorrow.
Two Nopes.

Good odds I expect on Australia winning from here or even getting a draw.

I don’t take anything as guaranteed with this england side and Smith could make nonsense of a 399 target if it is his day as it always seems to be!.
Not sure Paine is going to be around long as a captain either as his choice of reviews etc have been disaster. Smith though has definitely flourished without the pressures of captaincy and I would like to see that repeated with Root.
Incidentally can there have been two worse keepers on both sides (Paine and Bairstow) in an ashes series that in the past have given us the likes of Marsh, Knott, Gilchrist and Russell etc.

Smith is due a fail. So Harris might be due at least a hundred.

So, according to reports, Gower and Botham are finished with Sky Sports at the end of this game. I can understand it a bit with Gower, his style has got a bit tedious with the way he couches everything with every possible consideration but Botham is always worth listening to. Shame.

They’ll be adding more women to the team and giving more responsibility to Ian Ward and Rob Key. For me, Ward is a bit boring but Rob Key is one of the better cricket pundits so that’s good news.

Sky are also expecting Broad to be an integral part of the commentary team once he retires.

Thats a shame, I like Botham as a pundit.

I imagine he won't be short of offers, Ch5 and BT Sport spring to mind, who will probably get the rights to the next ashes from what ive read.
Unless he wants to retire of course.

Not really fussed about Gower.
