Flash backs here to the series in '92 and the tour to Sri Lanka in '93, the quicks do enough, the spin comes on and we're prodding and padding with men around the bat. That was a horrid ball that just got Pope though, stuff of nightmares.

4 wickets for not many runs. It's been a good watch, but the result looks to be set in stone here baring a miracle.

But it's boring with you, you're a silly football hooligan who talks absolute rubbish about cricket. I still think you and @Spurrific have a side bet going on.

As for Root, in Nov last year he got 200 odd against New Zealand after they'd scored 400 in the first innings, probably saved that game. Same year, 100 against West Indies to set up a win away from home, 2018, ton in Sri Lanka (probably one of his best) to again set up a victory.

As for this nonsense about him not being in the same league as Kohli, Williamson etc, his conversion rate isn't as good but he has more scores of 50+ in Test matches than any of them including Steve Smith.

So please, bugger off.
Imagine getting so personal. Have I hurt your little feelings that much?

Great. Three examples out of 95 test matches and two of the examples are ones where England’s back was not against the wall, similarly to how it is today.

I don’t know why you’re getting so upset over an opinion. I’m not even debating that Root is a good player but he has nowhere near the same mental strength as the others.

Because it's the same boring shit every summer with you, you're a wind up merchant. Give it a rest.

What makes your opinion on cricket more credible than mine? I’ve said what I said about Root and you became personally insulting and spewed some statistics which prove absolutely nothing to discredit my opinion.

If you don’t like my opinion, use the ratings and stop being a jumped up dickhead.

This is actually the perfect situation for Buttler, I still think Rizwan is showing what happens when you pick your best keeper, but if Jos can get some here he can play the next match instead of Crawley who I'm not convinced about yet.

As far as player selection and squads we're reverting back to management of old in my opinion, same goes with the coaching staff, all a bit chummy for me.

For now though, best form of defence is attack not a lot to come so Jos is going to have to play a blinder.

Fuck me, we’re playing him as a batsman now ?

Look he’s a one day player. Get over it. This is last chance saloon for Jos and he’s batting freely for a change but 8 times out of 10 in Test cricket he’s like a rabbit in headlights

I said I'd play him over Crawley who I don't hugely rate, to bat at 6 with Foakes at 7. In terms of "getting over it", he's not getting dropped so we all have to take that advice.

Christ this is turning into one of those don't move from where you're sitting situations. False hope.
