Come on Werty, everyone waits for the finger before walking these days. I don’t agree with it, but I always found it strange that Broad got so much stick when every player in every game of cricket waits to be given out. It feels like you’re just being obtuse for the sake of it at this point.

As I said, plenty of people at the time thought he was wrong not to walk. To me, and I said it at the time, what he done was the equivalent of diving. Just because other people do it doesn't mean it right. And people defending he were saying you do anything you can to win the Ashes. That's why I found it funny that it was him of all people complaining.


Anyway, this is very entertaining stuff.

I would add that I think its worse than a mankad. Mankadding at least is an attempt to punish a batter trying to gain an advantage in taking a quick single.

That's the point for me, he clearly wasn't trying to gain an advantage in this instance.

You can almost forgive Carey for spotting an opportunity and going for it but not the fact they didn't withdraw the appeal. Shameful behaviour that they won't live down for a while.

Warner is the oilyest, most detestable cricketer in the Australian team. And that's saying something given the competition. I wouldn't piss on some of them if they were on fire. But to balance that, there are some who are OK. Mainly the retired ones
