Sounds ti me like 2 are waiting on that saleDoes he mean we're allocating that money to sign two players, or we're just signing two players in total?

But is he suggesting those will be our only incomings?Read like 2 in with the Walker money to me. Barkley and one other IMO.

Don't want to derail this thread if it belongs elsewhere, but i'd still expect approx a net spend with 3/4 in as someone stated above (wing forward and wimmer replace as well)Wouldn't be surprised, selling Walker for around £50m and adding Pereira and Barkley for around that leaves us with a neutral net spend, which will be negative when Sissoko and Wimmer leave.
I wonder if the two in will be Ihenacho and Sancho as part of a Walker deal? From Ghostfarmo FTL, normally reliable
Walker 1000% gone..
Bringing 2 in with that impending sale.
Dier going nowhere.

No matter what we still need a forward ideally with pace. Can't risk another bad Kane injury, relying on jansson clicking. So, two in based on the sale of Walker. Interesting. Assuming we get £45-50m (ish?), then surely we'd look to sign a replacement RB first.
Putting 2 + 2 together, I'm guessing at Ricardo Pereira, and based on the stories about Barkley being left at home, I reckon that's the two, and both of those would fit in under the Walker fee. I'd expect us to be looking at players of that calibre, to counter the sale of a player like Walker. Selling the best RB in the league, the incoming would have to be of a level that it's not seen as S negative sale, so can't see it being Foyth and Lopez.
Selling Walker, bringing in Pereira and Barkley, that'd be an improvement overall for the sake of the depth/balance of the squad in my eyes. In reality, I may actually prefer Walker to stay, as it'd be a signal that we keep our big players, however '1000% gone' makes me think that ship has sailed, and we'd better look at how to make the best of it. Hopefully whatever is done is sooner rather than later, I'd like to see both potential new players get as much pre-season for intergration as possible.
We wouldn't be needing much else after that anywayWouldn't be surprised, selling Walker for around £50m and adding Pereira and Barkley for around that leaves us with a neutral net spend, which will be negative when Sissoko and Wimmer leave.
That's not how I took it. Could be wrong though. Anything can change between now and the end of the window. But is he suggesting those will be our only incomings?

The only way we should be willing to "live with" Walker leaving is if Poch has decided that Trippier or incoming RB is better than Walker. If we are selling to raise funds to be able to buy Barkley then I can't live with that.Walker for Perreira and Barkley I can live with.
Perreira looks to have great pace and attacking skills, my only worry is he looks a little lightweight.
Barkley will give us depth to go from CL or PL matches, and could be a revelation if Poch can get into his head.
