I've said before that it's really easy to solve cryptics, but bloody difficult actually getting them right.

However, if this is a cryptic and it consists of typewritten sentences lacking R, then there is one solution that offers itself.

If we are lacking R, then we need a player who has R or, if you will, Hazard.

I can't believe we're linked, and so don't think this is right, but he's a former Conte player and so I offer it up as a possible solution.
