Nothing changed from my line of info. Conte would still like a big strong CF, Scamacca was top of that list but gone a bit quiet of late.

Makes sense. Been plenty of links to tricky dribblers and also some links to proper target men types. I guess Richarlison just muddied the waters as a hybrid type.

Says something when we outright reject players of that quality because, presumably, we have better options.

When I thought it was just Raphina or Richarlison as the 1 forward incoming I preferred the latter for his versatility.

If it is Richalison or ‘Raphina + a striker’ then that completely changes my opinion. 2 heads better than one.

ValenciaYid on TFC:
"With Bergy off and Lucas being a bit part player and not long left on his contract, plus this long term search for proper goal scoring back up, buying both would make more than a lot of sense?? when an opportunity presents itself, grab it…."

I'm not sure whether this is more opinion though?
This is what big clubs should be doing. Not worrying about how to get rid of fringe players but if we can get two good players attack in no reason why we cannot sell both Lucas and Bergwijn. Seems a bit ruthless but we have to be like that. Also no reason why we cannot have 6 attacking options too. The only thing in terms of squad size we should worry about is fulfilling competition rule quotas.

No chance we bring in both. I've heard very little regarding Richalison other than it appears opportunistic because of possible swaps. Raphina on the other hand has legs, with a CF coming in at a later date to complete the front line.

Never believed Gabriel Jesus to be a possibility.

i would hope so ;)

This I like. I think Raphinha is a cracking player, but does not solve this issue of proper Kane competition/cover imo.

Interesting that we're more keen on Raphina than Richarlison. I guess we feel Richarlison will drag on too long and maybe have had more positive encouragement from Leeds for Raphina. The centre forward can afford to go longer into the window I feel as replacing Bergwijn with Raphina is still an upgrade in attack. Who knows we might revisit Richarlison if he's still available and we have enough left after other signings.

didnt he piss us off by stating he wouldnt do anything about his future until hes back off his holidays in mid july? ( conte wants it all done super quick?)

Just to clarify, does this mean later during this transfer window or are they going to wait until January / next summer? The suggestion in the Raphina thread yesterday was that we wouldn't necessarily need another no. 9 given the options that we would have.

As WLBs info above shows we have been tracking numerous strikers outside of the priority shortlist such as Ekitike and Kalajdzic. As ITK has said previously Paratici casts a wide net and there are trickle down effects that differ between certain targets.

Raphinha sets us down a path where a cheaper forward comes into play.

Someone like Richarlison or Osimhen sets us down a path where we look at cheaper dribblers or creative types.

Why would you hope someone has legs on their hand?

Glad we're not entertaining Icardi. Eric Dier would be climbing into the stands every week to tell Icardi's missus to shut up.
