As of today there is still no deal in place for Bale...
Perhaps, but don't you think other clubs know how ambitious we are trying to be in the transfer market and how some of the more established Premier League stalwarts might be left behind? It seems to me these whispers about Lennon have started because he was left out today. I thought it was just because he is actually injured.
Has he really? The stats don't really support that. He's had the odd fit or spurt of form, nothing more.
no Lennon...Chadli and Townsend are better...Lennon loses the ball, and only cuts out everytime...Chadli is more versatile.
Bollocks, I believe, had it not been for Bale's end of season goal scoring exploits, he was by far out best player last season. I expect that you guys who focus on stats don't go to the Lane every other week and watch us, but I do. Aaron Lennon is one of the best wingers in the prem, his defensive work and tracking back is fantastic and it would cost us 25-30m to get a player of equivalent quality. He has also been loyal to Spurs, I would hate to lose him.
I said in the match thread that the Townsend/QPR link might have parallels with the Bale/Forest deal and that he's starting to produce the goods just in time to convince management he has a bright future here. He's already said he's committed to fighting for his place in the team.
No way we'd sell now. Too effective.
Well, had it not been for Bale's exploits we would have been a mid-table team last year, so maybe that is his level? Also, you think he was our best player ahead of Vertonghen, Lloris, Sandro (even half a season) you're crackers.Bollocks, I believe, had it not been for Bale's end of season goal scoring exploits, he was by far out best player last season. Levy doesn't blink, he had his eyelids sown open after the Willian debacle... He sees allllllllllllll.Looks like Levy and RM are waiting to see who blinks first, and Levy will win.
Levy cannot lose. He doesn't have to sell. If he does he gets the price he wants, but if he doesn't, he gets to keep a genuine world class player. Levy wins either way.
Taking the boys to Thorpe Park?Just watched the extended highlights of the game on sky sports 1... Anyone else notice Andre say its gonna be a week full of excitement?!
Leaving it late there, Real Madrid.
Lamela (done according to numerous sources)No. We cannot sell him.
People who are happy with him leaving are assuming that we are going to get 2-3 top quality attacking players in the last week of the window. History has shown that we generally end up 1-2 players short, so we must not sell Lennon on the assumption that someone not yet signed is going to sign.
