It would always take two years or 3-4 transfer windows. You cannot drastically change your main 11 or squad in one transfer window.

We went 2 windows without doing any business so it’s down to our own negligence that we are in this situation, so yeah I agree in the sense that we are playing catch up essentially to get back to break even

Eriksen Coutinho swap would be interesting, gets Eriksen the move to one of the Spanish giants he was clamouring for and gives Coutinho a fresh start.

They've been looking for an Iniesta replacement for while now. Eriksen is certainly more comfortable in that role than Coutinho is.

If he's really burnt his bridges and wants out desperately just to go to United then that's incredibly bizarre

I suspect the bridges were burnt when he supposedly verbally agreed the new deal only to back out when Madrid said they could still bid for him (if they couldn't get Pogba). This is based on prior ITK and the pretty detailed article from AS yesterday. Interestingly they said the call came from Perez during the Audi Cup, which was when Poch had his rant.

This was suppose to be the summer for major surgery, I highly doubt we will do it all in 48 hours, We could be looking at a similar scenario next season again ...

Depends how much is already ‘done’. Clearly been a lot of activity behind the scenes. Got to hope a lot of groundwork is done.

Because we’re used to it by now. I can’t be arsed to fume any more.
This I can understand, but it’s the hope that kills every time.
Because it's a pretty obvious thing ?? We've spent £60 from the Trippier and Dembele sales where do you expect the other money to come from?
Lol...absolute nonsense consider the money we have generated and how well we are doing financially.

Could be a number of reasons. Promises weren’t kept, fall out with manager/players, wanting a different experience, money etc.

The strangest thing can happen to a man when he becomes a dad

We dont! but we DO have to sell a player who earns well and does't want to be here!
Yeah I agree with that, no point Eriksen being here anymore. It’s just so frustrating that we are going for net spend on him and not looking to splash out and invest properly.

Certainly feels a lot like that with Lo Celso and now Bruno Fernandes. Things should be able to move quickly IF a fee can be agreed.

Why is no one else fuming that we have to sell Eriksen before we strengthen. So annoying.

Although related, I really don't get the feeling that we have to sell to fund the incoming players, more that it has thrown a spanner in the works and we have had to shift targets and replacements to cover him leaving. Especially for a player who it seems doesn't want to be here.
