So we have inter saying leandro will not leave unless it's for silly money.

We have avb saying we are not interested and we are done on the striker front

But we have our itks hinting that it will be done?

So, reading between the lines can we assume that:

Inter would face a backlash if they were seen to be selling their prize number 9 unless it was for a vast sum of money, especially when we look at other Brazil to Europe transfers this summer (Oscar to Chelsea, Lucas Moura to PSG etc). Inter are obviously trying to get a huge sum BUT, crucially, we have received strong indications that perhaps, we could settle for a lower amount and just not make the true figure public. Our fans are pleased that Levy looks as if he is being ambitious, Inter's fans are happy that they have got a huge sum of money out of us, everyone is a winner.

We are trying to act cool on our need for him as to say 'oh yes we definitely need a striker' would make people in the Inter camp think 'well, if you need one so bad, you can pay an extra £8m' for example.

I would expect us to settle between £18m to £22m, perhaps with add ons...I expect the reported fee to probably be around £29m to £32m.

Of course, this is just trying to read between the lines and I could be WAY off base. Fun though.

Nope, all we have had is a cryptic from POTL suggesting that Leandro and Willian are moving from being rumours to facts i.e. we are getting closer on both of them.

Hello all. I got some info this afternoon re Adam Johnson - we are apparently deep in discussions and the deal is very close. There was an interesting comment though: "you get some clubs who will pay the transfer fee, but not the wages. You get others who will pay the wages but not the fee, and then there's Levy, who doesn't want to pay either!"

Thank you to the three people who donated as a result of Rob's plea.

What Rob hasn't told you, is that donations have been down for a couple of months now and although we made enough in May to cover a couple of months, the rest of the year it's a struggle so anything over the top goes in the kitty toward the rest of the year and if we fall short, it's Rob who has to trawl the streets touting for trade dressed in a mini skirt with coconuts slung down his top to try and make enough to get by on.

Going back to Rob's plea. Three of you. Seriously? By rights I should now be hotfooting it to your mums with several of my trained albino romanian dwarves dressed as Superman in tow but i'm a nice guy, so here's the deal...............If donations go up in the next 10 minutes i'll re-open this thread and take the dwarves off standby.

All donations are gratefully received, wether it's the price of a pint or even more, every little bit helps and we wouldn't be asking if it weren't getting urgent now.
