Do you really believe Poch is happy with business? Are they going to come out and say "Poch is really ticked off"? He has said in his news conferences about the desire to bring in more players.
Poch must be fuming his right hand man has already give Levy the finger. Due Levy not letting him do his job!!! I have a horrible feeling due to the disappointment of not getting Batsu that Poch is really pissed off and also now Mitchell has gone, I really think Poch is a goner due to that fact. I hope I'm truly wrong LEVY IS A BELL END!!!!

Playing devil's advocate we've shipped out adequate fringe players in Chadli, Mason, Carroll and Bentaleb and left ourselves with arguably less depth than last season, particularly in midfield, when we've got a tougher competition to play in. Chucking Winks and Onomah into a few Europa League games is all well and good but Champions League and must-win Premier League games is asking a lot and with the squad we've got with 24 hours of the window left we're relying on several players to play an awful lot of games at the highest level without getting injured or tiring this season. Yes, we've addressed two key areas that we failed to sort last sunmer but also removed quite a lot of reasonably experienced and reliable backup. There's little to no viable competition for Dembele, Alli or Eriksen. The notion that we are stronger or the same as last season also assumes that our direct competition in the Premier League - City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Leicester - have stood still. They haven't.

So which would you prefer as we were player wise at the end of last season or as we are now?

Superbly put. So many spin doctors here it's unbelievable. I'm not upset about losing any of the players that have actually left but to suggest we are progressing as it stands is laughable. You only need to look at our bench to see how thin on the ground we are. I don't want to jump the gun but if additions of note are not made tomorrow I certainly fear for MP's future. He will pay the price no one else.

Sissoko I would argue is an definite upgrade than Mason or Carroll or Nabil. When Sissoko's mind is on the game , he can be a match winner. All 3 were decent but do not have abolity to turn a game. Problem is getting consistency from Sissoko. If we end up with him, i hope Poch can get the best out of him like he has done with other players.
Don't need to argue! He is a level above those!

Marginally now, but that doesn't mean I don't think Pochettino has been left short of the tools to compete on two fronts and several players are going to be flogged into the ground again. Our bench so far this season has been frighteningly scarce of options. And that's with no injuries.

Much of a muchness to be honest. Two decent players have come in but neither an upgrade on the 1st team whilst we've lost a host of average to decent players. Which squad is stronger as it stands? I'm not sure.

What we need is to collectively gather some positive energy and channel it to Danny boy who will then turn on his fax machine.
