Expecting no news again today it will be at least another month before we start looking.

Obviously it won't be a month before we start looking.

But unless we can offer stupid money to both clubs and players then many of them will want to keep their options open and wait to see if the big-money boys come in.

Doesn't mean we're not looking though and to suggest otherwise is daft.

I'm actually clinging to the expectation that all of this is part of a carefully orchestrated PR exercise so that Baldini, the new shirt with sponsors and 2 monster signings are all announced in big conference together. I did mention 'expectation' didn't I? More like 'hope' I reckon.

Sign me up for this blind belief too. This time last year we were so embroiled in new manager issues & Modric that incomings weren't top of the agenda.
Then the stars aligned and we had a cavalcade of news day after day as the window opened, kind of. Villas Boas! Sigurdsson! The King is dead! Long live the Vertonghen! Spurs to invest in local schools!
All killer no filler.
I imagine we'll have a couple of things ready for late June early July, keep us with a positive profile n that.

Thankfully i'm off to a festival tomorrow. I'll run out of phone battery during the way there and be unable to check. Maybe they'll be a Spurs SC ITK tent. I make the two hour pilgramage daily to find the wise wizard who has a laptop and BT dongle, only to be told "no news yet" or perhaps "Leandro is close" before trudging through mud back to my tent.

Have we had any vague, positive, soundbytey ITK yet this summer of the 'Keep the faith', 'We've learned from our mistakes', 'Patience is a virtue, patience is a virtue' ilk?

Oh and actually following on from that, did POTL get the sack or something?

Is it wrong to not be expecting anything like the quality we need in the time we need? I've just had my fingers burnt too many times with Dickenseque expectations at this point.

Keep the faith, my friend, there is every chance that we have learned from our mistakes. But patience is indeed a virtue. Work going on behind the scenes. Everyone working tirelessly.
