Def seems to be alot of activity at the Lodge, I reckon Mouts could be coming now. VDV type last couple of mins deal..

What was the point of the extra fee million we got for Berba when we were unable to replace him....fucked the season as a result and had to spend through the nose in Jan to make up for it.
Just now, what is the point of the extra few million for Luka....well that's not true because this time he was sold with time to spare, but what was the point of saving an extra few million for the man we wanted to replace him or at least why did we wait until the final hours of the final day to determine that we could not reach an agreement? why wasn't deadlines set for the JM deal to be concluded and then other targets moved on to?
Don't get me wrong, we made some good signings and brought in some good quality and Ade is a good signing but its hard to get excited by that because we already had him last year. Having no real cover for him is disappointing although Dempsey will be functional for the striker and wing cover (rotation)
Losing VdV, King and Modric in one window just sounds crazy, and we haven't brought in a single player who on face value would seem half as good as any of those three, so its natural to feel disappointed.
JM was key to this window, assuming that doesn't go through now this window can be consider functional at best and with all the players we were linked with its very underwhelming to say the least.
The most frustrating thing is every window we seem to waste our time chasing players we simply cannot secure and end up missing out on getting decent signings in the areas we need them (players in the mould of those we need even if we can't get our no.1 target)
I mean Demeble is good but as a modric replacement he's no JM and dempsey is good but as a striker he's no Leandro or Llorente and as a winger he's no Hulk or Willian.
Not that I expect us to be able to sign the Hulk's, Llorente's and Falcoa's of this world.....but I don't see why we could make the Ben Arfa, Caybaye and Cisse type signings that would still improve us as a squad and let Newcastle make these moves while we mostly chase our tails.
Even M'villa would have softened the Modric and VdV blows better than keeper Jenas

Nobody is complaining about the players brought in they are all good players the problem is weve just lost 2 very creative players arguably the heartbeat of the team especially Modric and we have not replaced him...this is worrying this is why people are getting a tad irate!! none of the players purchased can play the Modric role theirs about 30 mins left lets see what happens before we go bat shit crazy!!

Why would we have another deal? Defoe, Adey & Dempsey - 3 strikers for a formation where only 1 is needed.....

Spurger come on I think for AVB perferd formation we are in a much better position than last year. Yes I luved VdV and am still a bit pissed he's gone but, if it's for family reasons I can overlook that. Modders was gone no matter wot. Mouts I would like to sign but in all honesty the Euros aside I haven't seen a £20M player in him. Alls i will say is come tomorrow I will support the team and manager on the pitch. With a new manager it was always going to be atough year.

This isn't confirmed, SSN have no idea why Kane is at the Lodge. They only suggested Fulham as a possible destination. He is probably being loaned to make room for Dempsey, not necessarily Fulham.

Castles has been the only one on point all day with this. Went against the grain by saying no fee agreed when all the other mongs (SSN AKQA) were saying it was all but done.
