Gards: "Striker likely to be Piatek, we have been offered Emre Can and we have declined."

Weird.

Can kind of understand why we'd turn down Emre Can. Not really a Mourinho type DM and a Liverpool fan I know seemed to think he fancied himself playing a bit further up the pitch. Also doesn't really strike me as being the most athletic.

Emre Can would make a lot of sense in terms of what we need
Would love us to sign can . Very solid player who can play almost anywhere . Has even played central defence and right back at Liverpool . Positions we need to fill would be a very valuable signing

Versatile, tidy passer, knows the league, not excessively expensive and still surprisingly young (can't believe he's only 26). Makes a bit too much sense to me...

Dunno if he'd be the answer to our DM problems long term (which is why we may have turned him down) but would be a million times better than Dier and a great option to have in the squad.

Think it’s probably a few names in there. Certainly can for the dancing bit but the film was all about Christian the writer so I dare say eriksen has finally left the building.

I like Can, think he’d immediately improve us. But DM is a position that we need to solve for the long term especially considering how much potential Lo Celso an NDembele have flashed.

Unless we could get him on a loan or extremely cut rate price, I think I’d rather keep our powder dry and go big for someone like Zakaria, Laimer, Soumare, Ndidi, etc in the summer.

Assuming the cryptic link is Emre Can I'd be very interested in that. Experienced but still in a prime age.

Emre Can (or another DM) a striker and Bergwijn and it'd be a pretty damn good window really. Especially with the breakthrough of Tanganga, the return of Lloris and Davies and Ndombele to come back in.

I wonder if Jose has cooled a little on Bruno seeing as GLC is showing promise centrally, and has therefore decided another pacey attacker is needed for his plans.

Moulin Rouge

82 Boulevard de Clichy
Paris
France

Gael Clichy currently playing in Turkey.

LB, now 34, but out of contract in the summer. Davies injured, Rose maybe moving on, could he be a stop gap LB until summer for a very small outlay.

Scored one, assisted 3 in 16 games this season.  ;)

Moulin Rouge could point to Can, could point to Bergwijn, but could also point to PSG. We've been linked to at least 3 of their player with expiring contracts.

Levy is a defeatist then. I don’t, although I have always been a glass half full guy.
