well according to JV's agent he thinks we should be tying that deal up this week so at least we'll have one signing before the euro's start. don't fancy the double signing that was muted by one of the itk's a few days ago mind, but i'll be happy to get JV on board

Wouldn't fancy Daniel Sturridge, he said he wants to play as the main striker and I don't think he is quite ready yet. Maybe as a back up option but doubt he'd want that either, isn't he on a big wage too which is why he left City to join Chelsea because they offered him what he felt he deserved?

do you think there shoould be then?

Well I received an email when he was left out of England squad saying he isn't happy and blames Chelsea.

Got one late last night that I've just seen saying expect interest in Sturridge to ramp up with us, Liverpool and City.

Just wondered if anyone else heard this?

Interesting

Talking of little strikers..........heard from a mate that runs the air charter for the FA that Defoe is on his way home from Poland as his dad died last night

Very sad if true

Remenber to repeat TOMORROW, tomorrow (Friday)...and then its only another 88 days to remember to do that :D

Mind hurts now!

Are you secret ITK? Doesn't someone wear the number 88 or am I confused? *off to google*

"World Cup champion and current Serie B player Gianlugi Buffon once tried to wear #88. A number with apparently fascist significance, he denied he was trying to make a statement and got a number (1, in fact; how boring)."

.....We are signing Buffon? Tomorrow? With the number 88 shirt?

Sturridge is six foot—not a Crouchinho or even an Ade, but hardly a midget.

Shame for JD.

Thanks JJ

Personally think he's a very good player

Not quite sure where he'd fit in at Spurs though. His best position seems to be on the left or right of a front three, and we have Bale and VdV in those positions. He certainly can't play upfront on his own so if he wanted to play as a striker we'd have to go 4-4-2 which causes issues with VdV and the midfield.

Would be a great option, but not someone we can build a team around, and it sounds like that's what he wants for himself.

And me. Got a whiff of Defoe about him, but much more of a presence, more skillful, better touch. Yes please

He is an arrogant c*nt. If you think Bale believes his own hype then Sturridge is next level and he hasn't ever really been that hyped!

I think if they sign Hulk he won't be needed and imo Hulk is just a glorified Sturridge who happens to be very one dimensional when on the right wing

He is right in blaming Chelsea as he was dropped so that they can defend for 90 mins or more but the major issue would be wages as he is on £60k a week atm

We are aware of his situation.......

And just like that he comes and goes just like the wind
