I hope he does and I hope London life and money motivate Hugo otherwise there is really 0 reason for him to stay, so so much better than us at the moment.

I just wonder if we'd had him instead of Gomes when we were at our best under Harry if we'd have put in a title challenge.

Our only hope is that, since he signed his new 5 year contract, and made comments about how investment and changes were going to be made, he's convinced that next season we'll have Poch's true team out there, not this bunch of wage-suckers.

We will need to convince him this is going to happen by doing some business in January - two big (or at least, players Poch specifically wants) signings.

I think this is why Mitchell was brought in when he was - to hopefully give him enough time before January to complete his preliminary evaluation of the squad and make recommendations of who to get rid of, and he will presumably already have a list of players who would've fitted Poch's Southampton system, which we can either pursue or upgrade.

Hugo would be well within his rights to bugger off at the end of the season, but I reckon he might give us one more - if he sees Levy fulfilling his side of the bargain.

Our best player and my favorite player in a poor team. How long will he stay?

He is the best player we have by a country mile and has been immense. I would make him captain as he truly deserves it.
The only thing that I don't like so much about him, is his distribution. Both his foot and his hand distribution needs working on.
His kicking lacks precision and length, additionally he sometimes takes too long to distribute the ball quickly with his hand, that hinders our counter attacking possibilities when opposing teams are their most vulnerable.
Correcting this, will make him an even better keeper.
I am really proud to have him in our team.

He must love playing for us! Think how much he gets to do in a game, a save every 2 or 3 minutes! I'd hate to be Courtois for Chelsea. He gets a backpass gently rolled back to him once every 25 minutes.

Why? What purpose would that serve? Is not not just as easy to do a search for it? And besides, is that fair to the other players? Is it only Mods who can make a thread sticky? And why is it called 'sticky'?
