We will never pay 75m euros for a keeper but I'd happily do that. Costa would likely be our number 1 for 10+ years, and will likely be the best in the world in 2-3 years time
I believe he has a 60m Euro buyout clause.

Talk from spanish media that Atletico are open to selling all of Joao Felix, Rodrigo De Paul, Yannick Carrasco and Thomas Lemar. Could see us being very interested in the first three, if not all of them ?

I would take Carrasco, versatile and one who I think would settle in quickly.

Lemar used to be good but not sure now. Fleix would be good but not in a Conte system I think. Dont know who the other is.

Atletico are a good club to get someone from, theyre used to a fairly regimented system under Simeone and could have that mentality needed.

Would love Felix and his versatility but I can’t see Conte being a fan because he’s not physically imposing. De Paul is quality but he’s slow and I’d worry about him adapting to the PL. Carrasco I’d be open to trying im as a RWB but it would be a gamble as he has very little experience there. Lemar i wouldn’t go anywhere near, nowhere near good enough. The others I’d take tho, would love Felix, he’s still raw but he has a lot of quality if developed properly. Can’t see it tho.

On Felix I agree he’s obviously not a physical specimen, but his pressing and ball winning stats are very impressive so that could persuade Conte.

Also Paratici does love a big name signing?‍♂️

Where would he play in our system though? That’s not me having a go I am genuinely just interested as I haven’t seen much of him.
Would he mean us moving to a 3 5 2 or would he play say kulus role in a 3 4 3v

I knew a few people had mentioned him as Lloris replacement. Not a cheap option now

An elite club will definitely pay that, and they should. 6-7 year deal and the amortisation isn't even that bad. We're talking a CL proven 23 year old keeper here with a ridiculous penalty saving record. That contract is just Porto setting a buy it now price.

Alisson and Kepa were similar and that's going back a few years now.

News from Romano a few posts above mine, he's got a new long-term contract and they've increased his clause to 75m
Fair dos. I saw news articles from a few days ago all quoting the previous release clause.

It’s gone up in the last 24 hours.

There's no mention of us looking at this kid, and we definitely need more "now" players in the short term but I think this kid might be something special and could potentially be our Sonny replacement a couple of years from now. Technically elegant and plays with his head up with end product to boot. He plays in the danish league so there's that, but there's a lot to work with.

For FM fans, he's a pretty insane talent on FM23 as well.

What's the going rate for super talented youngsters from the Danish League nowadays?

is amortization really that relevant? To this or any deal?

Payment plan is going to be it's own independent schedule which is more a decisive point for "big club" transfers surely.

Seen all his games from the scout lounge. He is a real talent. Dosen't want to renew his contract with FC Nordsjælland. Contract til summer 2024. Price 10-15 million euros

What's the highest selling fee from the danish league previously?
With my limited knowledge of fees from Scandinavia, that's almost double what Alexander Isak and Odegaard went for IIRC with only 18 months left on the contract.

FC Nordsjælland sold Kamaldeen Sulemana to Rennes for 20 million euros. Think it is one of the highst the last couple of years.

Edit.

Kamaldeen Sulemana, FC Nordsjælland til Rennes for 150 millioner kroner
Alexander Sørloth FC Midtjylland til Crystal Palace for 135 millioner kroner
Mohamed Daramy, FC København til Ajax for 95 millioner kroner
Jonas Wind, FC København til Wolfsburg for 90 millioner kroner

1 euro = 7.5 danish kroner

Somewhere between £8m and £13m isn't too bad then for good talent.
Anyways, I doubt we're interested as he doesn't really fit the kind of player we've been going for lately. More wishful thinking on my part.

Make it a club signing like Spence?
