For the CCB, i'd like us to get someone with pace, so we can play the higher line but without fear of people getting in behind.
We could do with a Ledley King

My worry is he doesn’t have a buy out clause yet. If we go for him then they will get him to sign a new contract with a release clause that becomes active in the summer as they always do with their talents.Could Simakan play as the CCB?
We know he can play RCB but if he could also play CCB then his flexibility would be extremely valuable, on top of the fact he’s rated as a very good CB prospect.
He’s been very very patchy and only got his first goal of season last weekend. But tbf Tammy has also been very off his game which doesn’t help Zaniolo’s assist numbers. It is worth noting Zaniolo had been pushed to the left of a front 3 to accommodate Dybala and he’s very clearly not as comfortable there. If Zaniolo is still at the top of Conte’s list I think there’s a chance we could get him in.
For all of the talk over the summer that he would sign a new contract, he never did reach a new agreement and only has 18 months remaining. This January is their last chance to get full price for him unless he changes course.
I’ve read reports that his form has been patchy. I haven’t watched enough to know whether that is true, but looking at their team selections he has been more of a rotation option than a mainstay in the XI.
Taken all together it seems that there could be an opportunity there, if Conte is able to convince the player to leave Italy.
If we get one player in January then we're in for a sketchy second half of the season. The kulusevski comparison is key. We've seen how badly our general play is impacted by deki being out, so if we sign one player in January it has to be a creative passing attacker like kulusevski.
Lemar is pretty poor. But agree with the restIf we get one player in January then we're in for a sketchy second half of the season.
I agree though that a Deki alternate is key for us.
However, it's clear we also need to sort out defence.
For me the priority positions are (in order):
RW/AM(R)
CCB
RWB
In terms of who is available, I think there's some excellent options out there between expiring contracts and teams that need to cash in:
RW/AM(R): Maddison, Carrasco, Dembele, Lemar
CCB: Skrinniar, Torres, Ndicka, Timber
RWB: Dumfries, Frimpong, Porro
I disagree on that. He's been a bit poor this season, but last season he was fairly decent, with his stats not being far off Carrasco from the previous season based on mins. He's not the £100m player that we was touted as a few seasons ago, but for £20-30m he could be the type of player that regains form at Spurs - remembering that he's going to be largely a rotation player for Deki.Lemar is pretty poor. But agree with the rest
I'd be paying that 1st JanuaryAgreed. From the outside he seems like a no brainier. We know the price so could get it done quickly, and he would likely want to come given Sporting are now out of the Champions League.
We missed the Kim boat when it sailed from Turkey never mind South Korea.Kim Min-Jae is getting good reviews at Napoli.
We were linked previously and he seems to have stepped up to a higher level (including CL) very well.
He has a release clause of €45 million which comes in to effect at the end of the season for teams outside Italy.
Can play CCB in the back 3 or CB in a back 4 too.

Like they needed in the previous window?Yeah I think it'll be Dumfries. Inter may need to cash in and I don't think he'll be too expensive.
I also think people need to remember Conte isn't necessarily looking for a flying WB who can do everything. He likes WBs who are very effective in the final third, have height (so they can get headers a backrest) and are quite athletic. Dumfries fits that bill
Are there better defenders available for 45mil?Kim Min-Jae is getting good reviews at Napoli.
