Agree about Olmo, dominated Man City, Atalanta and Shakthar in CL when he was in Dinamo Zagreb, I said we should go for him in Summer when his stock was low (injury). Physically not the most imposing player but Oscar did well for Conte for example and he liked him.

I agree Olmo is excellent. Very intelligent player who play’s between the lines really well. He would balance nicely with Kulu on the right and is versatile enough to play ether side. For some reason tho I just don’t see Conte wanting him, aside from probably costing a bomb, I feel like he’s too much of a playmaker for Conte. Would love to be wrong tho as would love him.

Are we? Hes a right footed RCB. He’s a big guy who’s strength is very much his anticipation and ability in the air. He often steps up from the back line to cut out attacks but this can also result in quite robust tackles as he likes to commit. He’s a good defender and a big part of Udinese’s defence who are having a solid season. But he’s not a ball player and, aside from bringing hight and physicality, I don’t see him fitting into Conte’s tactics at all. He’s good without being great but he’s certainly not bad, he could well do with a move tho. I would imagine it’s more agent talk tbh.
Thanks mate as always. Yeah I saw a highlight reel and he does look like a penalty waiting to happen. Yeah must be agent talk as sounds like he’s not what we need.

"In reality" meaning in your head. Nobody has a crystal ball to know how he would perform for us so that statement is a strange one to make. If he plays anything like he has in previous seasons for Inter then he will be our best defender/on par with Romero.
"If he plays anything like he has in previous season".
He started declining this year, playing less and less, being injured more, he's not even that good on the ball currently, started conceding poor penalties. Inter fans don't rate him anymore.

He has started 13 of their 19 games this season with a pretty good passing completion percentage etc. Inter fans that I personally know, think last season wasn't his best and that he has been better so far this season but not up to the standards he had previously set. I have no idea if he is on the decline or if his form will pick up again at a new club but might not even matter if we don't even buy him.

I wonder if he'd take much much less just to sign for a PL club to stick it to Man Utd. NOT saying we should. Just wondering.
no shot, he wants all of the money. I wouldn't be shocked if its PSG or just straight up going to a Saudi team

I think he's one of those players that has the skillset to be converted to multiple positions. I can see him as a #10 in our system dropping deep but he's also fast enough to play as a typical WF and I'd also say down the middle either as a 9 or an attacking 8.

He will go to a City, Bayern or Real within the next 12 months

Am I the only one that would be disappointed with this and see it as a waste of money? Malinonskyi is not the level we need to compete at all
As a back up of Kulusevsky he is ok. Till next summer. Trix mentioned (as far as I understand) that they are looking for candidates for a long term. That is why I am not sure we are after him. Probably, if we are for Porro and cannot afford expensive RWF, then it makes sense.

Nope, I’m completely with you. Having seen a lot of him I really don’t think he’d be suited to the PL or Conte’s tactics. Even as a cheap short term option it doesn’t make sense. I’m surprised so many really rate him on here, sure he has a good highlight reel but game to game I don’t find him particularly special. I could see him being another player we would struggle to offload in a season or two. If he was our only option I’d personally rather give Gil more game time as we actually own him and it would be good to know if he has a place here or not. But really, I can see us going back for Zaniolo.

Because he’s got a hammer of a left foot and a great freekick. But I agree, I went out my way to watch him and was not impressed. He is slow, poor mobility and looks very lazy. Maybe it’s because he’s unhappy but he didn’t do anything of note the few times I watched him. I don’t want to waste wages and a fee on someone not for the long term. He is the same kind of player as maddison who I would much more welcome.

I’m curious @SWMart why the WTF rating, would be interested to hear why you think he would be a good signing for us from what you have seen of him?
